Kinda late answer (and to be honest haven't read any of the comments after yours so maybe someone already said it..). Nobody says that you have to do it for free, it's your own work and the time you spend on it we are just suggesting an idea
Yeah and that's what ruined this game... if it's possible just run silkroad and make it level on it's own, move spots on its own and what not. Where's the whole idea of playing the game ? Auto alchemy.. Where's the joy of putting elixirs and powders in storage click start and browse po*nhub.com till it's done ? Pathetic....
This is why game is made for. You can't change that because gameplay require it!
I think you should just create a server management application (like SMC with more function) for mobil devices(i know,its not a standalone pocket solution of running a sro server),so the server owners gets the ability to check their server if they're not home or else.
Anyways it would be fun that i could take a silkroad emulator in my pocket, but i dont think if it would be very useful.

Then in the future maybe i will take care about that vsro app. But before start i will ask you all some questions about how exactly it should looks like and what exactly you need. For now i want to focus on emulator because it excites me more.
If you really want to do an emulator then move to another game.. if you want to stay here i think the best option is do something for servers based on official files. Like custom events, or special edits for make the server unique like new job system, map.. by this way the owners will win more money ( ) but you will win some too and players will have more fun.
I really think if you make your own server it can be epic

About emulator progress ive just finished loading of items from sqldatabase and saving it after dc, still on character selection/creation stage.
So you're doing the same WOW **** emulator's method? What if the server itself got closed? Database will be bugged, players will lose the items and the whole game will be ****** up.

Nope, i will load items on character list and later i will just update them in database in real time.
