Subscription-Based Pservers?

@Creationist: Even with a free trial? Lets say that every email will get a free 3-day trial for a certain period, if you liked it, subscribe, if you didn't, don't subscribe.

@Qynchou: Let's face it, SRO players always want to be better than their opponents, they want end-game content. Aside from the gear, you can consider Premium and DS as end-game content because they have to get it monthly which will take some effort daily, and since everyone will have the exact same chance in getting them, I wouldn't be calling them "unbalanced ****".

Sure, if I had a free trial, and I liked it, I'd pay. But if it wasn't good, I wouldn't pay ;p

Sorry, that is a terrible way to look at it. The only thing those items add is imbalance regardless whether EVERYONE has it.

Also everyone having it = everyone not having it.

1) People want to goldbot
2) People actually want to donate so that they can be better
3) There is no single server team out there that can create something decent enough (and stable) that would be worth donating for

I was thinking of this plan last year, but I figured it's not quite worth the trouble

They did with Salvation. Give us a decent server, maybe some reworked weapons? gears? skills? for that you would need real pros not some random epvpers coders...i'd pay to play knowing im trying new stuff, even if it's reworked skins of weapons/gear/skills.

I don't think so, I wouldn't play in a server that has the newest job system/newest alchemy system, otherwise I'd join Ex-SilkroadR , right?

Salvation had that feature? I had no idea about that. Re-worked items could be a good idea if and only if you provide a complete guide on how to get them and how do they look like, since players would not be familiar with these custom items.

Another solution, get SRO 2 files(i don't care even if it's impossible) and then you can open subscription-based server, lots of ppl would buy it

Salvation wasn't pay2play. He probably meant that Salvation had some pretty unique gameplay (when it first opened).

-Nobody likes the new job system
-No working bot

So I really can't think of any reason why you would want to use them over the vSRO files we have, except for the item linking system, but that's not worth the trouble
