Don't deceive yourself, mobile games are all casual games, if you want to play for real PC and consoles are the way to go.

For now yes. But nobody knows what will happen in the future. Take a look at razer's edge gaming tablet. I am not saying it is better than pc or consoles for gaming, but it looks like very much enjoyable. Perhaps after 2020's pc-gaming will leave its place to only consoles and tablets.

not even consoles can keep up with the PC since PC is customizable.
Many companies have stated their opinion toward "mobile gaming"'
Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft and third party companies have stated that for those who think mobile devices are the future on gaming, they should consider stop being called gamers
mobile devices may be powerful, but the real gaming cannot be emulated on those devices

Well its my opinion. Razer's edge is not a "mobile-gaming" tablet. It plays powerful pc games. And i agree pc is optimizable and better but purpose to purpose it differs. Personally i would not play dota on a tablet or console but playing *** of war or such games on console is much better. A good company might successfuly optimize a game for a gaming tablet and that way most of the market may change. Still there will be pc-games. There are sensors that are in development which are probably going to be much more capable than a keyboard-mouse setup in future. So thats why i think tablet & console gaming market will grow.

The only reason for the game developer companies to focus on mobile games like what is doing Joymax right now is because the market is waaaay huge than on consoles/PC's, they are not trying nor will try to make a serious, competitive game for mobile phones because they won't succeed, its not their target public. Almost everyone got an smartphone nowdays (I don't btw XD), and obtains applications for it is really simple for every user, they key for succeed on mobile platforms is not make MMORPGs or complicated games, but rather simple and addictive games that hook since the very first moment. Angry Birds, Doodle Jump or Cut the Rope are perfect examples. There is no complicated level-up system, skills or anything like that, those are simple games, easy to learn and understand, that make you want to keep playing. And most important, develop them is cheap as hell, that's why the gaming companies are switching to mobile platforms, and that's why their games are now more casual than aimed to real gamers that enjoy the challenge and frustration. Make big games is risky for a company because its expensive and the failure implies a lot of money loss, with mobile games its way cheaper and the risk is very low.

If what you mention happens, new hardware sensors that allow us to find new ways to play, I'm pretty sure it wont be applied on mobile phones, at least at the beginning.

GaiKai is an example of that. Gaikai is a service that allows users to play high-end PC and console video games rendered on remote servers via internet streaming. Cloud-gaming is the future, no doubt baby

Are you high?
cloud gaming?
You can't be serious.

You would have to deal with a huge delay(huge compared to running it local) an especially when it comes to games where you need to react fast this is bad.

Not to mention that quality suffers(Doubt that any service won't compress data), that you will have constant delays and sometimes maybe even complete blackouts because somethings is slowing your connection down.

And this isn't an option for people who have a kinda bad internet connection(doesn't even have to be REALLY bad, but a delay 50ms is something you will surely notice)

cloud-gaming.
I'm amused(once more, thanks to this board)

@Synx;

I agree and understand you but i did not mention about phones. Not too many would love to play games on small screens. But tablets have their chance. I mean look at nintendo wii. If they or some other people improve their sensor things in future it may very well be used on some tablets. (i don't know how exactly it would be) As you said market is already big, but not as big as pc-gaming. Most people buy a new gaming pc every 2-3 years as the newer generation hardware airs. Most of the people who don't buy a total new pc probably buy a graphics card or upgrade something. But not everyone buy a tablet or console. Some company can make a battery that sustains powerful hardware much longer than usual and that may result as superior tablets/phones. Almost as fast as laptops. That way companies can make cutting edge graphics on tablet games and if the sensors become handy, too many more will wan't to have a tablet.

In my opinion mobile games are the future, i think its matter of time when mobile games will be like 80% of games, by mobile games i mean games such silkroad which can be available on mac, tablets and rest thats what i understand by mobility.

Games will be made for multiple devices, even now we can see many games being ported, some of them may be available on tablets aswell and what's wrong in it?. Many companys thinks that mobile means tablets and phones... that will lead them to bancrupt( most of them) because of lack of market place. Integrating players from different platforms its a way to go for the future.

I find it really hilarious that this statement comes from Nintendo which is known for their lack of top hardware.

I'm wondering who's high actually? I doubt that you haven't even tried it out you stupid fuck. I have played games through the cloud and it works perfectly, this was during a beta stage and yes it was a small delay but not much at all to be honest. Sony bought GaiKai for some months ago and this will be implented on their new console playstation 4. The cloud is the future actually even for companies with production servers etc. It's in fact just a servercluster but who cares? The expression of the cloud sounds better

They've sold more Wiis than PS3s and Xbox 360s though.
