Post DDoS attacks again?

Hello, i've recently received pretty much strong DDoS attacks to my server from maxhosting.ru servers, so i'm just wondering if there's anybody else getting that from the same source? If so we should union up and start doing some real action against their company itself, since they're letting their free customers to use their own hosts as free 1gbps botnets to take down other services.

My server's down already for 24hours, i wrote them a message, at beginning they answered me that they'll inspect the issue, but this ended up into "sorry we haven't found anything on our hosts", which obviously is a lie, since server logs says opposite.

I suggest anyone check your SYN Flood filtering configurations at your dedicated servers (this might help you alot against DDoS).

As myself i still can't access host since it's completely taken down of this DDoS attack.

edit: sent a request to global internet security to make an inspection on maxhosting.ru services, in case they'll find them really ddosing other services, they'll be added into global IP Blacklist.

Simply the solution is hyperfilter , it seems like when you want to start a server you require atleast 500$ to get proper protection

Agreeing with LastThief.

Cause they can host a botnet everywhere , you wont stop it !
Just get a protection..

I prefer buying Samsung galaxy S III instead of paying for hyperfilter.

trust me, even hyperfilter can be ddosed it just all depends on the ddos source resources. if the bandwith/machine will be stronger it'll take down even the hyperfilter protected server, hyperfilter basically is just huge advertisement which makes people believe it'll protect them, okay it'll do against simple attacks, if the attack would be a strong botnet (~1k bots with approx 100mbps connection) even the hyperfilter would be pwned.

the things i forgot to do is doing SYN packet filtration/protection, which in my case was a huge fault and i got actually pwned. It's a simple setting inside windows registry.

ps, just hardening up all these attack methods will definetly secure the server against these 1machine ddosers, and you can do this with just proper configurations inside your server.

Miky has the Ocean SRO, an oldschool lv 60 cap server. It has about 20-30 online ppl, don't know why anybody attacks it. It was non-profit, because free silks, so... Some kiddy action.

Thats how Paradise died. Server4You blocked my host 2 times for ddos attack reason(well the traffic amount was kinda high but the attacks haven't even been strong enough to take my host down) and told me to solve it myself otherwise they won't unlock it again.

I've looked around the web and i've come to the conclusion that even though you can't fully protect against the ddos attacks against servers, there are ways to reduce the impact so that the servers will stay online even when under ddos. I'm not really that good in pc's and programming so i need someone who can explain real simple and even though i dont really know about that stuff i consider myself a fast learner:P Hence my question, can someone please explain to me what i can do to...

Hello, I am writing this message for a problem. There are 3 days that my server is under ddos attack, hundreds of different ip, always on the same port: 25345, but the problem is that the port is closed!, turned antispoof rules, sent packets from 2k and response packets 500k. I use ipfw as a firewall .. Those are the rules that I've put in my IPFW : $IPF 12 deny all from any to any dst-port 25345 in keep-state $IPF 13 deny all from any to any dst-port 25345 out keep-state $IPF 14...
