1. Is really illegal, if you get caught you can go to prision easily.
2. Use them is not easy, even more if you want to stay anonymous when attacking with them.
3. Most of the botnets are scams for newfags, it takes some time until you find someone who sells zombie computers or full botnets and is not a cop or an scammer.

But once you find a safe and good provider, and know how to protect yourself, its pretty cheap to buy botnets and do DDoS.

I kinda like events like these, it seperates psro teams with real skill and knowledge from the noobs. So far I have not seen anyone from the first group. You guys are suffering from really really small DDoS attacks and you are already failing with mitigating that, it's so funny. Well yeah, I guess this is what we need. Why do you start a private server when you know nothing about servers? I don't get it really...

Also there are some points I'd like to adress:

-If somebody is attacking you (by himself) it's not called a DDoS attack but a DoS attack, and I doubt a single person attacking you can actually cause any trouble, even if he'd have a 40gbps connection.

-So called 'booters' are worth nothing, I mean it. Close your hackforums accounts because everything you'll find on there is pure ****.

-If you want to know who's attacking you, it's probably the server who doesn't have any problems. I thought that would be obvious but the average IQ on these forums is even lower than I thought

So in the end, if you don't know how to mitigate a ddos attack, YOU DESERVE IT.

I am currently working on a custom DDoS protection system (I got the basic idea from pushedx) that also filters out targetted DoS exploits in the server files (for example the gateway DoS). If any server, for any reason has the budget to mitigate it but doesn't have the inhouse skills or knowledge feel free to contact me and I can help you with mitigating most of the DDoS attacks executed by these script kiddies, but it comes at a price (no 900$/month like you will find for normal ddos protection though, it's reasonable)

this topic may open some normal players eyes. most dont even understand what ddos means , they call us incompetent (disko?) and stupid. but its all a budget question. not really a knowledge question , what can u do on a ******* windows machine if u get attacked with 500kpps spoofed syn flood? yea right , nothing. buy a protection for a big amount of cash , or wait it out. wich didnt worked , the attacks started early in the morning and ended late in the night , for 4 days.

Whos said its one individual ? Who said its a small attack? Who said we don't know what we are doing? Are you even reading my post?

A server is behind these attacks, and we want to find out who so we can attack it back.

You must one of those "forumers" which after few threads have the impression you know everything. My friend, these attacks are huge nothing you can block with your firewall settings.

There's nothing to do about it, since it's kinda impossible to trace someone with a botnet. Better wait it out or if it's possible to do a negotiation with the guy that runs the botnet.

Newbie check the records. PlaySRO, PantuSRO, Droad, Dymer, Myth,etc are all under attack.

We added DDoS protection and we've helped pantu and droad add protection to, check their website news.

WE are trying to find the depths of this not just PlaySRO.
