A war has begun !

Two short things to say.

first: Almost all biggest servers ddos each other its a war.

second: Someone made good business by relasing vsro files, relase files then get money for ddos protection from richest servers (that's a part of what's happening here i suppose).

sro scene evolution are sad these times...

Just paying my visit here once a few months for a brief comment:

I don't want to praise myself but I think I can claim to have some knowledge about the PServer thing in general. Not game-specific. What you witness now is something that occurs for every single MMO for which the files were released. As for SRO, which has been in some special state with PServer monopolies for several years, this is just the start of what the scene will be experiencing.
PSRO has just left the stage of building up a PServer base with tools, guides and other files being released for public use. Dozens of more or less experienced people took advantage of that and as you can see, the accordant section here is blooming. That's how it always goes. A good thing if you ask me. Anyway, now that the stage of experimenting is over, people start to think of it as a "professional business". Which I think it isn't, looking at the way those projects are handled. People think they can make a great deal of money and some may even do for some time and this attitude brings a very common phenomenon with it. People who want to exploit that situation and the lack of professionalism that is just omnipresent in every PServer scene. Therefore, DDoS attacks. And I can tell you, this will never ever stop. There will be times when it will be less noticable but it will never ever go away. Now here's some hot speculation of mine. The publishers know of all this. The huge problems PServers bring with them, the DDoS attacks, everything. And that's why they actually don't give a flying duck about it. Of course when they are asked, they say they will do something about it, but I think they know very well that those who participate in that scene are not a danger at all. The servers are poorly managed and generally short-lived. Most of the players wouldn't play official SRO again anyways. The only thing that might itch them a bit is that some actually do make some money out of what they created. A fair thought of course.

Long story short, this is nothing that should have come unexpected and you should not expect the situation to get better.

Okay, I guess now I can say PlaySRO is behind the DDoS attacks. After releasing here my PlaySRO DoSer tool my server, Class Online went offline due to DDoS. There you got the point .

I could be wrong but most likely obvious I'm not =).

I'm sorry mate i never said we don't have it. Obviously its not us using it against us...Why do you think we wanted to find the server behind this, to give him a Forum warning & a big warm hug?

Playsro always had ddos servers but we never used them against other servers. When the attacks started , we got hit aswell, ask droad,pantu & dymer admins they know me and they know i'm not attacking anyone. ( except you & guess why ? )

After that guy post my server went online and DDoS stopped. Now is all clear, seems like PlaySRO really was behind the DDoS attack. Again I could be wrong but again, most likely obvious I'm not.

I'm not asking for a war dude, i'm trying to stop it. I can name you 5 more servers that have ddos servers, so now everybody with ddos servers are behind the attacks?

Why do you think i'm here and why do you think i tried to talk with most of the admins that get attacked...shouldn't I be lurking in shadows and attacking? It seems you have the evil mind of attacking servers without reason, how do i know you are not behind this anyways...i got some tips for several admins that suspect you..now what should i do? Got my point? Now chill the f$&% out and lets try to find the idiots that are doing this. Starting other wars and rising against each other won't help us or the players..think dude ffs

Well i received help when we needed and now we helped serveral servers get protected aswell. Now why the hell would i do that , if i would be behind of all this?

Anyways, i'm tired of this topic. All i get is flame and *****, you guys are almost hopeless. people forgot to help each other.

Protected yourself by changing port(15779) game?
how i know? looked at error-soft and found out that you offline while you already online ..

i can be wrong...just wanted to start posting ^^

uhm..that was a server restart my friend, Check now. And no, changing ports doesn't protect you of anything because its very easy to find the new port so, its preety useless.

Well true. Its called unloyal disloyal competition, a very known and common situation in marketing and management. Who ever is doing this, preety much succeded in creating chaos and making us blame each other, probably we will never find out who planned this because now everybody suspects everybody...
