About servers advertising themselves on general section

I don't know what is going on but seems the moderators are out of this sub-forum. Every day a new thread about a pserver appears on the general section. I'm PRETTY SURE that the people who make those threads KNOWS perfectly that they don't belong to general section, there is an exclusive section for adverstising, but still they keep posting them here for get more attention and players.

We need more moderation here before the section goes out of hands. Not to mention the YEARS the mods take to approve threads on release section (which makes most of the release threads getting posted on general section instead).

Any idea?

If they could get their heads out of their ***** and finally pick a moderator all would be fine. There're plenty of applications in the joning e*pvp section but they never get around to pick one. What are they waiting for?

Since the serverfiles got released we get overflooded by many foreign players, mostly turks and egyptians.
They don't take care about the rules and want their server to grow up as fast as possible.

In my opinion 3 moderators are NOT enough to manage this spamcloud.

3 moderators? I don't see any around here since months ago. And when it appeared it started warning everyone like crazy for stupid reasons (I got warned too lulz).

The thing is that this section is way more popular.
People think that if they will post the server here, they will have more players (Maybe it's true, I didn't try, it's idiotic).

Most of them prefer the silent modding method. I don't have any contact to any of them so i can't judge this. I really want to know if they can handle this flood.

Current situation proves that.

Still,the hands of the staff are tied - they can't do anything - they can't add someone that fast because they put reputation of the forum at risk.

DiscoTeka has been here for years and his moderator application pending for few months already. I seriously can't see why not to add him. But it's understandable that they don't want to put the forum reputation.

Few months are nothing,believe me.

I've waited nearly two years,if not mistaken - well,no outcome anyway. I understand why,thought - it was my behaviour that made me not being chosen two times in a row

I regret nothing,though. Right now I take moderating as a time waste.
The problem with turks/egys is really easy to solve - just ignore them.

I don't even read their posts anymore,all I get for reading their jibberish is just letting the hate speak through me again and that's the thing I can't do anymore - under that conditon I'm allowed to stay :P

Just ignore them - let the current mods do whatever they want to do and when they want to do it. It's none of our concern,especially,when these people don't understand a single advice you try to give them.(not the admins,but these who lately started to make a shithole out of this once great section)

I don't see this as a competition.
The only thing we /the user see is a section which gets daily spammed by new member.
So i offer my help to elitepvpers.

If the current mods/admins think they can handle it, no problem. Then we want to see some improvements. But one does not simply let the situation get out of control.

maybe some users think chernobyl* not active
i guess he's active but he dont want to make threads or reply's

not to blame anyone, but some threads I have been reporting since a week ago are still on general section
Silent modding is something but ppl reporting and thread keeps there is something else
only moment something happens here is with multiaccounting, and thats Johns doing(thnx btw)
also, ppl are well aware that there is a "Guide" for making those threads()
still ppl make threads with titles "please come all" and with a webpage for reg as post, thats all

i dont want to brag or stuff or making super advert, but mine is as old as his
i think hes getting if before mine though XD
last thing john did was adding other section mods(in my opinion is as good as it is bad, beucase mod will be partial, but will not know a bit about sro)

Well who could blame them with the sever files public fixed database public, and every kid making their own sever it hard to keep up. maybe, rather than letting sever owners promote their severs here directly you should only allow sever ranking/status sites to post here since one can basically find all all live severs out there on those sites. those sites over a better platform for owners to promote their severs anyway.

in fact, they wont care that warning, they'll keep making accs and keeps spamming
but if mods act quick, they could move thread(not just close it) and if they keep on that, well, warnings can come(even if they dont care)
