You can check SilkroadR .. They made alot of arts , ireall like them
Right click on background and press view bacground image 
Yoy can fins good images there

i wouldve done something like this: on one of the sides theres start,options,exit etc those buttons.on the other side of the corner is a promotional video or somesort of video.and at the bottom where the buttons USED to be there would be a news feed that comes like in the news shows on the bottom scrolling from right to left.that would be such an epic launcher to me.

Reasons:
US launcher is fuckin' ugly. US help files are awful. Korean Rappelz (normal and KTS) have the best help files on any server, and I'd love to translate them and release them.
