4: pax never made a FULLY functional emulator. the most advanced emulator was arcane which lyzerk gave to a lucky few. i havent been keeping up with the emulators lately but as far as ive heard, srevolution has source codes from lyzerks arcane.

If someone wants a fully working emulator, they need to start different, and pick a client. Someone should fully emulate the 70-cap isro client and finish it. If people could focus on one of the early versions of sro im sure they would finish, and then add on the next cap, and the next etc. and why diss someones work? A programming language is a language, one of the best World of Warcraft Emulators is made in C# and it holds over 2k people, but sro I suggest C++. I would love a 70 cap emulator

Could that even be possible if you don't have the packets from the server? You can get them from the client and try the latest one and hope they didn't change. Btw the idea is very nice to start with an early version without all those extra things and then start adding new caps but that might be a big mess if you're not using some kind of library which you already created or how some people like to call it an "engine" or framework

Yep and mabye some other change to allow bigger values or something like that. Anyway if you want to make your emulator compatible with the latest version you could just not add guilds unions fw and all those kinds of stuff and focuss at 1 thing.
