[GUIDE] Warrior/Cleric

This is a guide I wrote for ZELOS forum so I just wanted to share it here too

I. Introduction
I.1. What is a warrior ?
Warrior is a physical defense and attack built char. It is the most powerful close range class. It's power is based on 3 weapons switchs : Onehand + Shield : defensive, kb, dull but small damage, allows you to recover HP. Twohand Sword : offensive weapon set, slow attacking, little kb, kd, Madening for damage dealing, but HP sacrifice. Dual Axes : fast attacks, chains, bleed and stun.

I.2. Who is it meant to ?
Deal damage, switch defensive and recover if you are cleric. You can tank and deal insane damage with your 2H

Build + :
- Good tank
- Loads of HP
- Insane damages
- Very needed in share partys

Build - :
- Low MP
- Slow (if you wear HA. You can also buy drugs but sucks)
- Low mag defense.

II. How to build your warrior
II.1. Distribution Str/Int
Euros don't have imbues, so just rush for full STR, the lack of MP will be balanced with INT and MP on your stuff

These are the lv100 stats, gives you a small idea for lv60 ^^' :


II.2. Equipement
The equipement kinda depends of the server meta.
Robe : if the server is axed on chinese, or just loads of mag. attack players. It will balance your lack of mag defense due to full STR. Good for MP
Light Armor : between mag and phy def, it'll be useful against mag and phy attackers, I would choose it first. Good for MP.
Heavy Armor : kinda sucks, you're slow and it's only useful against other warriors or rogues. Can be useful in PvE tho. You will realy lack MP.

II.3. Warrior's skills



Frenzy Buster :
1st Skill: Taunting Target -> [Aggro skill] Pulls the monster on you. Optional
2nd Skill: Vital Increase -> [Buff for you] Raises your HP, decreases your phy. attack. Useful
3rd Skill: Descry -> [Group buff] Shows stealth people. Optional
4th Skill: Sprint Assault -> [Attack] Kind of a Ghost walk but needs a target. It can KB and Stun. Very useful
5th Skill: Iron Skin -> [Buff for you] Insane raise of phy. defense. Very useful
6th Skill: Howling Shout -> [Aggro skill] Pulls all the monsters around you. Useful in partys without lure or to exp solo. Useful
7th Skill: Mana Skin -> [Buff for you] Insane raise of mag. defense. Very useful


Guard Barrier:
1st Skill: Pain Quota -> [Buff for someone else] 2 allowed. Each time your target gets hit, it spreads the damage on the party. Very useful
2nd Skill: Physical Fence -> [Buff for someone else] 2 allowed Each time the targets receives phy. damage, it gives you a part of the damage. Very useful
3rd Skill: Magical Fence -> [Buff for someone else] 2 allowed Each time the targets receives mag. damage, it gives you a part of the damage. Very useful
4th Skill: Protect -> [Buff for someone else] You take the aggro of the target. Optional
5th Skill: Physical Screen -> [Buff for someone else] Insane raise of the target's phy. defense. Very useful

One-Handed Lord:
1st Skill: One-hand Arms -> [Passive] Raises physical attack. Very useful
2nd Skill: Power Shield -> [Passive] Raises physical defense. Very useful
3rd Skill: Blockade -> [Passive] Raises blocking ratio. Very useful
4th Skill: Critical Void -> [Passive] Decreases the critical ratio of your oppenent on you. Very useful

One-handed Sword:
1st Skill: Slash -> [Attack] Attack, +50% damage if he's kded. Useful
2nd Skill: Shield Trash -> [Attack] KB, Dull. Very useful
3rd Skill: Double Stab -> [Attack] 2hits chain, +50% damage if he's kded. Useful
4th Skill: Berserker -> [Attack] 2 hits chain. Useless
5th Skill: Shield Crush -> [Attack] Shield trash evolution, two hits. Very useful

Two-handed Lord:
1st Skill: Two-hand Arms -> [Passive] Raises phy. Very Useful
2nd Skill: Concentration -> [Passive] Raises crit ratio. Very Useful
3rd Skill: Damage return -> [Passive] Gives you a chance to return the damage taken. Very useful

Two-handed Sword:
1er Skill: Bash -> [Attack] KB, +50% damage if he's kded. Very Useful
2em Skill: Turn Rising -> [Attack] KD. Very Useful
3em Skill: Warcry -> [2H Buff] Phy. attack buff. Very Useful
4em Skill: Charge Swing -> [Attack] 2hits chain, +50% damage if he's kded. Very Useful
5em Skill: Maddening -> [Attack] Insane damage, but slow and sacrifices 10% HP. Very Useful


DUAL AXE IS OPTIONAL, I REALY LIKE TO HAVE IT WHEN I PLAY WARRIOR THO.

Dual Lord:
1st Skill: Dual arms -> [Passive] Raises Phy attack. Very Useful
2nd Skill: Dual defence -> [Passive] Raises phy defense. Very Useful
3rd Skill: Accuracy -> [Passive] Raises attack rating. Very Useful
4th Skill: Protection -> [Type: Passif] "Immunes" from Stun, sleep, burn, etc... Very Useful


Dual axe:
1st Skill: Down cross -> [Attack] 1hit skill. Optional
2nd Skill: Double twist -> [Attack] 2hits skill. Stun & Bleed. Very Useful
3rd Skill: Axis Quiver -> [Attack] Stun. Useful
4th Skill: Dual counter -> [Attack] 3hits chain. +50% if the target is KD or has bad status. Very Useful
5th Skill: Crisis rush -> [Attack] Powerful 4hits chain. Needs 10% HP ! Useful
6th Skill: Sudden twist -> [Attack] 3hits chain. Stun & Bleed. Very Useful

II.4. What subclass ?
There's a Warrior/Rogue thread so I'm not going to talk about it ^^
Cleric : You can play Warrior or Cleric in partys, you can recover HP and buff in PvP. Heals allows you to play with 2H and Dual axes. You won't be called names ^^
Warlock : Only able to play Warrior in partys (sometimes warlock if the spot is good for GP), very good in PvP : Dot Dot Debuff and then just rape with 1H/Shield or just oneshot with madening

III. Warrior's way
III.1. Solo
Exp with 2H : Sprint assault, madening and slash to finish the mob if needed.
Exp with Dual Axes : Sprint assault, chain and finish.
I find dual axes less boring then spaming madening. Just choose your best weapons. If you're warlock I don't recommend you to use warlock skills, only for giant.

III.2. Party
OneHand/Shield. Buff wizzis and tank with PQ and Fences, use screens if things turn bad. If the aggro guy sucks you can help him since the mobs will hit you only once and then go on the cleric tank (because of heals).

III.3. PVP and Job
Get the best of each of your switches.
1h/S : Block nukes, KB and Dull.
2h: KB, KD, Madening to hit hard.
Dual Axes: Bleed, Stun, fast dps.

IV. Cleric Sublass
IV.1 Gear
If you have cleric as subclass, you can choose the gear you want. I would still advise you to pick Light Armor, even if it's ugly.
It will raise your mag. def, runspeed. It'll be better for your MP aswell.
Robe is an other option, but I'm not really fan of it. You can give it a shot if the meta is realy on magic.

Divine Creed:
1st Skill : Heavenly Rage [Buff] Mag attack increase Useless

Cardinal Praise:
1st Skill :Trial Cross [Mag Attack] Some mag damage skill Very Useful (Fire Wall)
2nd Skill : Healing [Heal] Low level heal Useless
3rd Skill :Reverse [Rez] Res Very Useful
4th Skill : Innocent [Cure Spell] Cures some bad status Optional
5th Skill :Justice Cross [Mag Attack] Trial Cross+ useless
6th Skill : Healing Breath [Heal] Healing+ Useless
7th Skill : Grand Reverse [Rez] Res Optional

Mental Culture:
1st Skill : Faith [Passive] Needs robe to work Very Useful you need it for other skills

Mortal Recovery:
1st Skill : Over Healing [Mag Attack] Deals pure damage (through snow or bless spell) Optional

Recovery:
1st Skill : Group Healing [Heal] heals 8 targets Useless
2nd Skill : Healing Division [Heal] Heals 2 targets Useless
3rd Skill : Healing Cycle [Heal] Recovers X hp/second on target (can be cast on you) Very Useful

Blessed Recovery:
1st Skill : Bless Spell [Buff] Awesome defense increase Very Useful
2nd Skill : Recovery [Heal] Some heal... Very Useful
3rd Skill : Recovery Division [Heal] Some very long heal for the whole party (over time) Very Useful
4th Skill : Group Recovery [Heal] Instant heal, can save you Useful

Resurrection:
1st Skill : Group Reverse [Res] Res the whole group Very Useful
2nd Skill : Reverse Oblation [Res+Buff] Black res, awesome buffs Very Useful

Glory:
1st Skill : Charity [Passive] Increases STR, INT, Phy/Mag Def while wearing LA Very Useful if wearing LA
2nd Skill : Glory Armor [Passive] Low def increase Very Useful
3rd Skill : Favor Armor [Passive] Low def increase Very Useful

Sacrifice:
1st Skill : Offering [Mag Attack] Shit damage cuz you're STR Useless

Saint Prayer:
1st Skill : Holy Word [Buff] Bad status resist Very Useful
2nd Skill : Heaven Flash [Debuff] Restrain Useless

Blessing:
1st Skill : Force Blessing [Buff] 4targets STR Increase on target Useful
2nd Skill : Mental Blessing [Buff] 4targets INT Increase on target Useful
3rd Skill : Body Blessing [Buff] Increase phy defense on target Useful
4th Skill : Soul Blessing [Buff] Increase mag defense on target Useful
5th Skill: Force Deity [Buff] 4targets STR Increase on target Useful


IV.3 Methods
Basic game opening :
> Start with Onehand/Shield to avoid firststun/kd, kiting KB. Use Shield Crush/Shield Trash to KB/Dull oppenent.
> Switch on Dual Axes. Use Sprint Assault to KB/Stun and get close. Go for Double Twist/Sudden Twist to Stun and Bleed Target.
> Switch on Shield and KB with Shield Crush/Shield Trash. Get cleric rod and use Healing Cycle
> Switch on 2hSword. Use Sprint Assault to KB/Stun, use Madening to deal damage.

> Continue dealing damage with 2h, Bleed & Stun with Dual Axes. Repeat 3rd line if heal needed.

Casters :
> Basic game opening
> Try to control the target with Shield Crush/Shield Trash + Sprint Assault
> Use 2H for KB and KD, 1h/Shield to block nukes if you can't control him.
> Switch on Shield and KB with Shield Crush/Shield Trash. Get cleric rod and use Healing Cycle.

Bow/Rogue :
These guys got KB and KD(rogue) but both can't block.
> Basic game opening
> Go a Madening if target is Dulled/Stunned. If not, try to KD while Shield Crush/Shield Trash is in cooldown.
> Repeat Sprint Assault + Madening.
> If you can easily get in close range, Stun & Bleed with Dual Axes : Double Twist/Sudden Twist.

Close STR :
> Basic game opening
> Spamm Dull with Shield Trash/Shield Crush
> Control with Dual Axes, go for Bleed/Stun with Double Twist/Sudden Twist
> KB with Shield Trash/Shield Crush
> Switch on 2H, Sprint Assault & Madening

/! Avoid using Madening on a warrior because of damage return /!

good guide man but just a few points that needs to be corrected.

- recovery useless? i dont think so , it heals a great amount of hp and it uses very low mp , much better than group recovery to heal with in pvp in a tight spot since group uses a **** load of mp

- no glory and favor armor low defense? lol then whats the point of going LA o_o? they give a good amount of defense believe me , dont get them if you will go for robe/HA yeah but ofc get them with LA

- heaven flash is useful for more advanced combos

so what weapon are we supposed to use if we are a 1h and shield? like are we supposed to switch from both cleric rod to sword? cuz theres both cleric rod attacks and sword attacks that you are saying are useful.

Warrior is about switching.

Trial Cross/+ is a high magical attack to break Fire Walls.

Glut Healing/Over healing does Absolute Damage : that means it will always do the same damage, even with SnowShield/Bless spell so you can do both to 2shot a wizzard or a bad cleric.

Then put healing cycle, switch one onehand, Sprint Assault, 1hand attacks, Shield Crush, you can reheal if you need, sprint assault etc.

well i did it this way on my warrior

hat : 5% damage absorption , 5% parry ratio

dress: str 1 , str 1 , damage 5% , attack rate 5%

acc: attack rate 5%

And now comes my question.
Why on earth would i use maddening (lvl 80 skill max) instead of daredevil which goes all the way up to 108?

Just goes to show, where ever you copied this ''guide'' from, its **** old. It applies to 8D, we are at 11D mate.
