I understand what you are saying but you are missing one key point. I'm certainly not wasting my time. It's a fun project to work on after all. Whether its meaningful or not is on a different note.

What's the worst thing that can happen? The project won't be ever "completed" and will be thrown away at some point. If that happens I still had fun working on it and learned tons of things on the way along.

Hm hard to say since I never worked on it with a constant pace. I started with it early last year, but actually most time went into reverse engineering so far.

This will be great to make a Private server with New Shaders + Textures, imagine <33 a real silkroad remake where everyone plays ! no more 10.000 servers with few people
