If you define most in a well manner, you will find out that most people who work with electronics and create programs for these tiny microprocessors usually use assembly language on daily basis.
Previous paragraph is based on my experience with these people - I know 4 people who do work with electronics. Three of them work with ASM daily, the other one is a wannabe who does not know what a capacitor is.
Anyway, if you defined most people in the most used manner (note the most), then you could say that programming is not what most people do, ever, in their lives.

True. But if you check the list of programming languages in the poll, you'll see that the most (maybe not ASM or C?) programming languages are designed to be used for x86/x64, not for other microprocessors.
So obviously I was talking about the use of these languages with those architectures.
Also, just out of curiosity, do you know something about the difference between x86 ASM and.. let's say MIPS?
@Thread: Sorry for going so offtopic >.<

Help for Programing a bot
04/01/2008 - Conquer Online 2 - 0 Replies
Well, i want to make a bot for CO, but i need some help. I don't know if it's better to take the packets that send conquer server, and manipulate it; or find the memory address and change the values when i need it.
Well, in addition, i have a question. Always the system assigned the same memory address for the game? For example, if i use the "odbg", and i find that the memory address for the player name is "x", always "x" have the player name?
Well, i need some help. I don't need that...
