Thing is that if build it yourself, you'll notice that its like 100-200€ cheaper then what a shop offers because they add too much for their labor (and thats because they know how to put it togheter and the average person doesnt).

As for the ''other guy'' thats building it, I'd be a lil bit carefull cause obviously he is charging extra than he should. But i guess in your case doesnt matter, if you can afford an 1000$ pc then you got enough money.

GPU Is your graphics card.

Depending where you shop you'd be able to find a good PC for under $600 USD that can easily run 8 silkroad clients.

But of course, building your own computer (easy) is the best option, its cheapest and more bang for your buck.

It seems difficult at first but trust me its not, its just like putting together a table, just follow the darn instructions and you'll be done.

This is a monster of a PC for only $570 AMD Athlon II X4 635 2.90GHz, 4GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, DVDRW, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

SRO isnt the most graphic intense game there is so you don't have to go above and beyond for all the parts you get.

heres another one:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5GHz, 6GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, DVDRW, HDMI, eSATA, FireWire, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

For this one the GPU would have to be replaced but for less then $100 you can get a very very good GPU.

And a few more monstrous PC's that can easily run SRO with decent GPU's:

I'd always prefer nvidia graphic cards over ATI but ATi is just as good right now.

These are just my suggestions, Good luck!

That rig is going extremely overboard for just silkroad.

the people who are giving you advice on this topic seem to be thinking that they're building the pc's for themselves or buying it for themselves... kind of like there dream computer.... remember guys, he just wants to play SRO, and compared to other games out there (crysis) SRO is NOT graphic intense so all that extra stuff your telling him to get is not needed.

And btw the dude which is selling the computer used it before and u dont know how he used it if he did some freeky OC on it the computer may not last long and for a shop price of 1k $ u can get new parts almost the same or the same if you search a bit more.

And for Leaker if he wants to play sro only enough would be cheapest quad core 4-6 gb ram and a gf 4xx series cheapest card and he can run easily like 8 clients, and that's cost of like 500$ (for new parts).

\hmmm
I think i got an idea.
So.. which one of suggestion should i get from Leaker's idea?I liked that website they have reviews and stuff.
I dont just play sro = =ll the really primary reason i want to get desktop is that I want it to replace my 800$ laptop. I dont want it to burned up and ****** up because of 24/7 botting.
I use my computer for many reasons. Movie, gaming ( other games when I quit sro), home work, programming etc
But I would say that sro would be most important at this moment lolz…
I want it to run sro 8 client and do hw ( MS word , few iexplore running, and itune running )….
Thanks all for suggestion !!

If your going to be multi tasking like that you need a quad core system and atleast 4 gb of ram. Any of the computers i showed you can EASILY handle that task.

But i'd suggest building your own so you can add your own custom CPU coolers and fans. Stock ones might not do the job unless u buy one of the cyber pc's which usually have great fans!

newegg.com and tigerdirect.com are the best online PC buyers. both have reviews, indepth information on the computers and great prices

i got 4 GB ram also. i know what i'm speaking of. if i start more than 6 clients i can't play anything else. even the Fing winamp will start jerking. so believe me when i say that for what he said he wants to do he need at least 6 GB

and just FYI in case you don't believe me they are running at 1060 MHz

its not all about ram. 4gb a good GPU and good CPU is more then enough for 8 clients.

i have 3gigs and run 6 clients easily. quad core q8400 cpu and radeon 4650HD GPU makes it EASY. i could run more but i dont have anymore accounts >_<

mine is also 1066mhz DDR3, i actually have something like 3.3GB of ram or something, (not running 64bit windows)
