i need help in installing silkroad online

when i try to run the legend 5 v1.240 it says "file can be use after the legend 5.0 alexandria update"

what should i do i download it 3 times in different site..1 in torrent gamershell,1 in torrent kickasstorrents.com, and 1 in joymax.com

what should i do now i want to play silkroad...???
please help me...

Can you precise WHEN this message pops up? when you double click the exe file? after you've installed it?

it pop up after i double click it it says " opening file" then it pop up...
until now its the same..it pop up everytime i try to install it...

no...im new in playing silkroad online

i just download the legend 5 V1.240..

do i need the legend 4?

well I know this was an issue to those who downloaded legend IV plus without installing legend IV, so maybe this is your your problem. But that mean you would have to download legend 4 and 4 plus... and I can't guarantee it will work. I don't know what's your download speed...

do you have vista if you have try to do this, try run as adminstrator or run the installtion in compatibility like windows xp ^^ i hope it works

If what pinky99 said doesn't work and that the client you downloaded doesn't solve the problem, download the legend IV plus... and if this doesn't work, well i'm out of ideas

Click start / Run / type: notepad
Type inside notepad the value: 240

Click on File, Save as
Change the "save as type:" to All Files (*.*)
Type in the filename: %temp%\sver.dat
Save the file

Now
Click start / Run / type: %temp%
You will have a windows that will open pointing to your temporary folder
Search for the file sver.dat
Right click with the mouse on that file and select "Properties"
In the general Tab, add a check box in the attributes Read-Only
click on Ok

Open silkroad installer and install silkroad.
When you are done, delete the file sver.dat

Make sure you haven't saved the file as sver.dat.txt
You can do in windows explorer Alt+t or click on the Tool menu
Folder Option / View / Uncheck hide extensions for known file types
