Well I hear from a lot of friends SilkRoad and Metin2 are really fun.
I want to try out which ever one is funner.
Can anyone please tell me some good reason why I should play SilkRoad along with reasons why I shouldn't play it?
Metin is infected by bots, however it seems the US version is more enjoyable.
Silkroad International is accessable unless you struggle waiting several hours in a "queue" line. If you ever make it in, you will soon realize that the needed SP (skillpoints for opening new attacks/buffs/w.e) that you gain from monsters arent enough to build a decent charakter.
Silkroad International is infected by gold and playerbots, there are no handplayers or at least much handplayers left there.
Silkroad International is a moneyCow for Joymax (Owner of Silkroad) and whatever you do or want to do, you have to spend money .. lots of money .. even a VIP access called premium is money.
If you got enough money to spend, you might have some fun in this version of Silkroad.
Silkroad:
+Fun to play
+3 Jobs to choose (Merchant/Trader, Hunter which protects the Trader, Thief > imo the funniest job out of these three)
+Nice graphics
+PvP system aint bad at all (as long as you really do 1 vs 1)
-Needed SP is hard to get by yourself
-Needed EXP after a certain lvl is really crazy (you kill 3-5 mobs for 0.01% exp. p.)
-No need to go for UniqueMonsters or PvP before reaching higher lvls, you will just get ripped and be frustrated
-You will lack on gold since items are expensive (if you start from 0)
-Silkroad International is meant to get played by different players from diff. countries, however you will encounter lots of racism (especially against turks, if you are a turk bad luck then .. dont take it personal ^^)
In the end i WOULDNT recommend Silkroad International, unless the CEO's change their game policy.
If you really insist playing this game, go for a foreign Silkroad (same game in diff. language i.E.: russianSRO, chinSRO, koreanSro, and so on, ..) which let you login at least without waiting hours..
iSRO is the most active (more active then the foreign Silkroads), but as said, about 95% of players are bots. iSRO also has an incredible amount of Turks playing (Nothing against Turks, I'm against those annoying Turkish kids that will spend their time scamming, and killing lower levels at pvp, and those who refuse to talk English).
I've never played Metin2, but I can say Silkroad actually is a pretty awesome game if you don't mind the grindfest, and if you don't mind paying 15$ a month minimum to log in first try I think iSRO is the way to go .
