Server is full

I just recently started playing again after taking a break for about 8 years. I'm on Oceanus and the server is full. I've been waiting for well over an hour in queue now and was wondering what the deal is. Do people just never logout or is there just a giant queue line? Something just doesn't seem right, I didn't think there were this many players and I just feel like I'm doing something wrong. Do I need to relog or just stay in the queue?

well 8 years are a long time and the Sro-Environment changed a lot.
They did some server-merges perhaps including a decreasing of the player slot numbers.
Also there are lots of player bots/clientless like we used to see.
Then Failmax implemented a new "ViP"-system which give you Preferred-Login similar as Premium.
So when you try to login, you fight against botarmies,Premiumuser,ViP,Staller and other manual Logger all trying to login onto a, probably, decreased slot-server.

People without 1st Login mostly staying online as long they can until disconnect.
The Waiting-Queue is a piece of Shizzle not working properly and never based on timeline, timeline can be 2min.-24hours depending...
It also can be the Waiting-Queue disconnects itself, it looks like its ongoing but in reality its already disconnected and you cant see it.
Because of this it can be useful to manually disconnect the queue and relog when nothing happened in 2hours.
Maybe you get a "better intervall" with your Relog, but not guaranteed.

Best choice would be to buy enough Silk for either a Premium ticket
or to charge enough Silk to get the Silver-ViP.
Both ways give you Preferred Login.

For the case you want to choose Silver-Vip you have to pay attention!
If they did not changed it lately,
you have to buy Silk on the
1st of a month RELYING to KOREAN SRO standard time(Sro-homepage) else it won´t work properly neither...

Hmm i think this gives a lil´Insight of actual SRO-state.

Thanks for the reply, I finally got in the game and I went to change a keybind and the game closed. What a piece of **** game

So now I can't even play... When I finally get to my character screen after waiting 3+ hours. I select my character and click start and the game closes... ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?? This happened to me TWICE. Each time of course I have to wait another 3+ hours to get in. So you can't even play the f'n game.... What a pathetic mess... Is anyone else experiencing this or anyone have a solution? So ****** right now

Yes nearly every person trying to logon to the Game in a legit way experiences exactly the same issue.
This game is not for PLAYING anymore sadly. It´s Silkroad-TV(botsitting and managing).
Most of the active accounts give a **** about the game, they have their botarmies with automatic Login and automatic Walk/Killscripts etc.
Wether one of these hundreds of Chars is able to login or not is not from interest.
Wether this Char login in 5min. or 50hours nevermind...
In Germany there is a motto : "Honesty is the Best"
In Silkroad/Joymax its still diametrically opposed...

So concluding there are only some options:
1.Buy Prem
2.Buy enough Silk for Vip II
3.Search a nice P-server to avoid the Official-Server-Frustration.
4.Buy multi-client and bot the shizzle out of the game like there is no tomorrow
(more Chars= higher probability that you can login even 1Char) /ironic

Sorry that i could´nt write a more optimistic Post, but i must honestly admitt, i never saw such incompetence over years like that FailMAX-firm.
Oki maybe Webzen, also korean, and same Bigshit like Joymax.

The thing that confuses me the most is why I was able to login no problem for about 5 days in a row when I made a new account and started playing again (this was about a week ago). Now suddenly there is a queue. How was I getting in before without waiting? And also, how much is premium or VIP II (whichever is cheaper)?

well there can be some reasons.
Seems there was bug with ViP with new created Accounts maybe fixed now or time of bugged ViP is over.
(Read the actual Patch notes maybe there is coming more^^)
Another reason is that there were some emergency maintenances and unplanned server downs last week.
Right after the inspection or a server down there is a higher chance to connect to the server(depending on the time needed to update the different Bot-Progs by the 3rd party developers).
Best time in the week i suppose
Then there is the factor Luck - like i said it can be 5min-50hours.
At last its certainly depending on how many player or bot-progs try to logon simultanously, so when botuser wait for their bot-update there are some hundred less in this Shizzle-Queue, cause the bot can´t automatically login until the Botupdate is made.

The prices(unguaranteed) for Prem 290Silk(50Silk=4,3€),
and for Silver-Vip II you´ll need a 300+ Silkcharge
So your main choice is between buying the Prem with Preferred Login including the other Boni you get for Premium ticket,
or to buy whatever Silkitems you like for a 300Silkcharge to reach the
ViP II-state.

But with the ongoing Maintenace right now there will be new Changes to the ViP-system so my last statements perhaps will be Out-of-Date in some hours.

- In the case of users who brought item from premium item mall for latest 1 year and not VIP member/Newcomer/Dormant user, they have VIP 1sr Grade for 1 week.
- VIP grade is renewal and applied with premium item mall buying result of previous day.
(Original monthly VIP renewal also is applied continuously *00:00 of 1st day of each month)
