how noob were you When you started playing sro?

My first char ever was Euro wizard. and i made it kinda int hybrid 2:1 and made it to lvl 32 and then i made my first warrior until 50 handgrinded it... after that i went to botting xD

My first char.. haha, well.. It was a totally noobish ultra hybrid nuker .
I managed to handgrind to level 39 ( After 32 it went pretty quick, had everything Sos and a SoM +5 spear, Gotta love your guildies ). Then at level 39 a friend of mine ( level 70, max back then ) helped me out a bit, powerleveld me to level 50, and thought me how to bot

Now I have some 8x, 7x, and a few sp farming.. Eventho I'm not really playing anymore (:

wow I started playing sro on Isro open beta, i guess it was 2005, dont remember de year...

Fibrasek, pure str fire glavier, then i turned to blade then actually it is stuck on bow lol
I spent hours and hours doing quests to reset the skills, lost lots of money too...

My character is still alive on the Xian server

I remember in the 3rd week of silkroad when i started playing, no one knew about SP farm (Skill points farm) i was the only one who knew whats SP farm, but not skills.. STATS LOL till lvl 22 i didnt raise any str or int, i was a pure ..nothing? lvl 22 bowman-glavier-swordman with force up to lvl 17 (because you must res) and ice fire light lvl 22 (with like a skill or two in each..), once i found out about stat points, and i had the option, i went hybrid, and than i turned the char into a glavier at lvl 27 so i was a glavier lvl 27 hybrid.. ALSO the first bot i had, was a FREE BOT that i was supposed to buy for 2mil gold, but i paid 1mil, got the bot and supposed to pay 1 more mil but i decided to scam the guy becuz i only had 100k left, but the joke was on me since it was a free bot.. Also i got scammed twice back than, i bought a 1-day gold ticket for the price of 4-weeks (when item mall came out at first, you could stall and exchange the item mall items), also i bought a monkey and got the usual exchange scam for it haha cant blame me, i was like 13 (17 now ) You must ask, how can 1 little noob be so rich? so let me tell you the story .. i was lvl 28, walking around the demon horses, suddenly a guy came with a lvl 32 seal of sun glavie, exchanges me and give me 24 SOM+3 glavie , confirm, confirm, approve, approve, thank you, no problem, and he dissapeared.. how wierd is that xD (i later sold that som for 4mil LOL) and yea when i was lvl 30 i too wondered why my nukes suck, i thought my char was weak and i was going around asking people than i found out lol..

started playing at 2004 i think? maybe 2005 dont remember, the 3rd week of silkroad, lvl cap 60, only 1 server Xian Never left it :] love you Xian all my friends xD, i remember how everyone were like OMG THAT GIRL "gigi" GOT A +7 SHIELD OMGGG +7 THATS SO RARE.. funny to look back at it now (but +7 without immortal astral steady or lucky, good job :P)

Also, i remember i kept dying just to go to town..
OH LOL AND HOW WE ALWAYS WENT TO CHI'IN TOMB AT LVL 20 TO KILL THE HYENGCHEONS BECUZ THEY WERE LVL 30 AND SO BIG O_O

Well. I started in 2007 and I miss my noob days, my wizard, warrior and rogue friends. My first euro char was a Rogue (went through the skills and thought WOW!! this is me!!) + Wizard (why not) + warlock (Dark art, Harry Potter, Voldemort :P) and cleric. after about a month or so in my lvl 20 some one suggested to press C and add str int into red and blue bars. you can imagine what a disaster it was. I still play with my first char (100FF now) I dlvled all wiz warlock skills. I got farmed at penons, at cave and with karas(missed the ongs) gone those days of fun. sro is much a difficult game now. all the love respect fun friendships gone. we got scammers and gold bots instead.

I didn't know how to add skills or stat points until level 10. Yea took quite a while to get to level 10...and by level 14 or so I learned that you could actually use potions and not just sit down. I then got a SOM drop at tigers and npced it cuz I thought SOM was the lowest seal. I continued that character as a hybrid str lightning blader, which, since I was using a computer with 256mb of ram\pentium 4\a really bad intel card, took an entire year to get level 40 because the lagg was so excessive (I actually had to visit a friend's house and log in there to visit Hotan to buy gear, and buying goods in DW took about 25 minutes).

It all started with Runescape lol. That is how i got into playing online games. One day when me and my friend were playing runescape my friends sisters boyfriend came up to use and told us to download silkroad. He started us on babel told us the basics (not much at all) then lvled us to 20 with his 90 S/S nuker =/. After that he got us in his guild and than left us we lvled up to 40 then quit it started to get where we were glave nuker blader bower haha. I knew my friends sisters boy friend used a bot but thought they were people you payed to play your chr =]. So now i am here with 70+ chrs wasting my days on silkroad fun fun fun lol. Thank You for this nice post and thank you alex for bringing it back up!

lol same i could not go to hotan and it would take a long time to get to DW and i did not know how sam or cons looked ha.

my friend told me about sro and he gave me his char to check it if i like the game or not. i played his lvl 27 nub char for like 3 hour at earth ghost i kept dying adn dleved his char to 23 lol he was ****** at me =.=

When i first started I pretty much the definition of a noob. I had like no build at all . I would add random int/str points and i was bow/glavie/sword/fire/light/cold.

i started from the 60 cap but i got to lvl 20 by hand grinding, and since i didnt know good english back then, i cudnt even give stat points (i was small quite then lol), and re started at 80 cap, i knew good english so i figured out the game quickly,and thinking from other mmorpgs, i added all to str, and got to lvl 22, and my mastery was something like 100 at that llvl xD, i lvled fire,light,cold,bicheon,pacheon lol, then the bots came out and server got crowdy,

restarted when i heard euros came out, by looking to a good guide, i got to lvl 72 rouge/bard, ff, then it got hacked :/, turned to priv servers then lol
