Some of the new players said to me, that there think that the new shayia is better then the old. Just cried about it.

I wouldn't be surprised of that. If they didn't play the old shaiya, they don't know how much fun it was. Maybe they didn't like farming every single thing? Now there are p-servers, pvp servers... everything free sorta. People are just lazy now-a-days.

So while i don't see pservers die soon, what i notice is that we run into the same issue over and over. People play a server, gear up, gear a second toon, maybe switch faction once or twice ... and then? Boredom takes over.
Shaiya never really had endgame content since ep4 began (altars in ep3 were at least "something to do") and now that we're somewhere around ep6 it still doesn't. In addition pservers take out all the little necessities of the original nowadays, no more working for the next Conti or PID, no price to pay for WTCs and RPCs. With gearing up being all easy for fast pvp, endgame is reached in days or weeks and after a certain rank and maxed gear things start getting dull.
The question for pserver developers nowadays has to be how to fill that gap and keep their players interested, while at the same time not breaking with the spirit and feel of the original game.

Would be a good question, what a good p-server is. I just think the people have not all the same opinion about that. But yeah, your right.

If people got good group to talk to, friends etc, farming and leveling, stuffs which take time don't matter to them anymore, community is what makes pserver good. Ofc, balancing and craps around that, gears, environment matter. You just need right people on yo server and others come along. Even tho, people won't go to pvp without being maxed [except Tactics o.o from what i've seen] which sucks. Nowadays it's kinda hard to make everyone happy, since some of players are bored from old skills, gears etc. The other half doesn't want to give up on them so yea. But Shaiya itself is dying, slowly, started long ago, at the end we all will leave There are waaaaay better games, better graphics etc. Everyone is asking what can make this game better, Shaiya 2 might. But this versa is old, was meant to be "free" so it looks like that.

While i do enjoy shiny new games, what always brought me back is the pvp. I've tried my fair share but while shaiya certainly lacks the dynamic controls of some games and the amazing designs of others, i barely find this nice mass-pvp anywhere.

You're right, a good guild makes up for so much lack in content, but then drama is always around to mess with that. Sometimes i wonder if other MMO-communities are just as dramatic as this one. In the end i guess the answer is yes.

For a dev or admin the question then would be how to help the community form lasting guilds and bonds in order to keep them entertained.

Myself, i play long enough i guess, and yar right, somehow i'm still here. Drama is fun after all, it would be boring, wouldn't it lol. I've seen some massiver pvps than on Shaiya but since most of people i know (i think i can include myself too) are used after those years on Shaiya and its gameplay o.o so yea

We have some truly great developers to thank out there, like lilprohacker, [GM]Father and a few others, not to mention castor, who is still here and doing his best for this community. They built the base, now those who want to have or already have (a) private server(s) have this responsibility of using the knowledge for the right purpose.

We have nubness, plus I and others are learning more each day.

You and your buddy TeddyBear94 think that now since you convert weapons from Aion you're 3D modelers, you're wrong, you're just using a tool.

Actually, I am the first to import other game weapons into Shaiya , I helped Teddy learn this and he took a different path. And as for the future of 3d , I have imported a lot of weapons from Aion and I can also import weapons and items from other games. But since my new client is going to be encrypted, I wont have to worry about other servers stealing my work. I don't care they have it, but it would have been nice if they asked before ripping it off. But my future work no one will be able to steal ... :P

Soon, one day we will be able to import gear from other games because there are developers in this game, like me, who will not quit until they break it or find someone who can.
I am dedicated to my players and keeping the game fresh for them. I have seen the newest weapons from the Shaiya Korean client and they absolutely suck. This is why I will add the best designs from Aion, Atlantica Online or any game I want.

shaiya is getting sooooo old already i cant believe it. Im happy to see still ppl like you blitz. Your prolly the reason i stayed so long in this community and im rly gratefull for that and wishing that you continue with it.
I hope i did atleast a few stuff for the community even if it wasnt much.
The only thing that bothered me the whole time was the high amount of hate everywhere. Instead of working together and helping each other ppl always tried to destroy each other. Sadly
Most of the so called "Devs" are just **** and should have never opened a server but since these are p-servers no1 can stop them and it will keep going.
I would say the community goes down hill but this has already happend. The community already fell down with exception of a few. Which is the reason im even more proud of the dedicated admins that are still around.

Btw blitz is ofc right. He was the one that got me on the right way with aion weps. I never claimed to be the first that converted weps to shaiya. All credits goes here to blitz ofc.

Hello all .. im looking to play new servers .. most servers dont do farming or lvling and to me it makes it very boring..the server i use to play went down and im trying to find a new home..lol..been playing for 6 years..it might just be me but getting every thing handed to you takes away some of the fun of the game.. Any new ones out there coming up soon ?
