Custom letter quest

Heya guys,

does anybody know how do these mechanics with the letter-quest work?
E.g.: Item 29003 (Lectis ... letter) is the proper item for activating quest ID 857 (epic quest)
This quest is defined in shStudio (latest stable version) as "letter-quest activated by click" (Mode 4).

How can I use this type of quest on another items? I resent overriding old letter quests because they gotta be retained for players that wanna do "the good old questing".

Sorry for my bad english and I hope somebody knows sth about that.

About thread question if i right understood, you need in item.sdata do property of item that have to be quest item checked and item rate percentage, than you need in monster.sdata to set item quest by itemid and in npcquest.sdata do the quest as example.

I don't think so that I need to do something with monsters... if i type in chat: "/getitem 29 3" i'll get the letter from Lectis (ID: 29003). When I right click on this letter I'll get the notification "previous quest needed". I think that's okay so far

But when I right-click on my item (ID: 29035) there is no reaction. I have configured the item and the quest like the item and quest from this lectis letter...
Theoretically it should work but it doesnt and I don't know why


EDIT: It seems that this has something to do with the quest chain array in the NpcQuest.SData - if I could know you this array works and which data in which order has a meaning and so on, then I could do a custom letter quest

Does anybody already know how to "read" the quest chains?
