Help with installation on Windows Server 2012

Install the server.
But I can not run it using Windows Server 2012.
The logs writes that it is not possible to connect to the database.

Help people know what the problem is.

If it cannot connect to the database, then your DB User and Password (encrypted) are wrong in your servers configuration files.

I can tell the server do not 1 time so that errors should not be possible to connect it with the operating system problems.
I can not understand why not start.

Yes, this is Windows Server 2012 and I can confirm it works as I had a running server on Win Server 2012 before.

As for OPs problem: You must enter the correct DB User and Password in the .ini files located in PSM_Client/Bin/Config

An example of a ps_game.ini:

GameDef=127.0.0.1, PS_GameDefs, DB User, Encrypted DB PAssword

To encrypt your DB Password, use the little tool called ps_passwordEnc.exe located in PSM_Server and copy the output.

Also don't forget you have to link your server with DB using the user and password, here is the sql query change the user and password where it is asking you to change.

Had it on my few days ago installation.
Make sure you use SQL Server 2008 R2 Express and not ADV ( ADVANCED)
Then if you dont get mangement tools install it after.
Make sure your net framework is installed correctly.
DB logins are true i am sure .

I can do the server.
But in the first I decided to put 2012 but could not run it.
This essentially is my problem.
5.4 for 2008 run without problems.
Got Hosting 2012 operating system, it decided to put a test server but could not run it.

Dude i had some prob on 2012 when did wrong installation of sql . You say your services dont start..

Sadly im having the same issue, with SQL 2008 r2 on a server 2012 r2... cause it wont let me login to mysql at all.. *** it never used to be this hard



Edit Found out i was missing a file that was supposed to be in the installation but apparently wasnt. only took a bunch of hours of research now to fix everything.

use plesk for instal sql
I have the same problem with 2008 sql version
Most of hostings have plesk for free and is very easy to use.
You dont even coffing because plesk already did. But u need remeber to disable sql's if you have before.
