This post is going to end with me begging, but before I do that, here's a recap on my endevores.
I've tried many of the "fool proof" guides, made sure I use the right software and settings. And every time I run into problems at the same step. Those stupid pause signs. (fool-proof suggesting I'm a fool :-D)
Scanning both google and this forum, trying and trying again. Reading up on possible problems I've driven myself almost insane. I've made sure to use the generated password string in all the conf .ini. I made sure the "Shaiya" user was present with plenty of rights to access databases. Everything is done in "admin" with no UAC or firewall present. the ip everywhere is 127.0.0.1 and the tcp is all setup.
My 5-6 most recent tries have been to setup a small virtualbox server (host win7, guest xp-pro)
Here is my insane proposal. Would any of you kind souls be my hero?
Would it be possible for you to setup a 127.0.0.1 ("test") server in VirtualBox and upload it for me to just download. It would be an awesome "backup" to have as well when the 'tampering' starts.
(I have spent days, litterally 10's of hours before asking this, and I dont usually ask for solutions in this manner, but I've tried it all and I'm broken)
