Actually a lot of servers have a problem with bosses being camped and soloed by limited number of players while newbies got no chance of knowing the times of the respawn. Usually it's just 1 guild doing them
So I wanted to make a small tip on how to avoid it:
Create a NPC with a quest with objective of killing the boss let's say Cryptic.
As a reward for completing the quest player receives a bag from the NPC - the bag gives the same things as originally the boss would drop at lower droprate (that I'd recommend as ideally it would be a lot of people doing the quest)
As a result people should encourage as many people to join as possible, even newbies in order to get the most items possible, which hopefully would promote good old teamwork :P
The only problems I see would be:
- The NPC should be as close as possible to the boss, same map and everything or players would be unhappy to go on some other map just to get the quest before killing the boss
- MMs might get annoying with that, I'd recommend using different bosses for MMs, not the quest ones
