what do i need for my host?

Windows (ASP, .NET 2.0) or Linux (PHP, Perl, CGI)

MySQL-database yes or no??

Game host? Windows..
I can't say if you need MySQL, server is run off of MSSQL, but if you run other things, they might require MySQL, it's your call..

when i'm going to "buy" webhotel/domane i get to choose windows or linux server

i can shoose mysql database too if i want..

the vps is windows server 2008 and i have the server running just want to know what the web host need for this to run the php. becouse i see php is in the linux.

the 2 i can pick say:

Linux (PHP, Perl, CGI)

or

Windows (ASP, .NET 2.0)

just website hosting not the server

mysql db is 1 at 200mb it says. like i'm not a web server guy. i'm a real noob about this. all i know is iss realy. that's why i ask..

Oh, for webhost you can do Linux I suppose, I run PHP off of Windows, but I don't kno whow VPS and stuff is.

But like I said for MySQL, that is YOUR choice. Nothing on this thread requires a MySQL database.

anyone out there that know a beginner kit for website making?

google and yola is so easy and free, but when it comes to building from my server with no webcrator my hands are tied.

i made this with yola in just 1 hour or so. but this is new to me:-(
