I have, once again, hit a roadblock. And i've read everything i can find on it, but no one is explaining in better detail how to make a patch. I've downloaded countless programs, tried so many things, and nothing is working.
I made the zip file of the update.sah and update.saf. However, freewebs won't accept the zip file. So how do i even make a patch? Can someone explain it in better details? I've checked all of elitepvpers and ********.
I am also still getting the runtime error, but i have a feeling that's to do with the patch. Can someone please help me, and not be mean about it?
I recommend using Lilpro's tool, is easier to make a patch with it.
You will have 2 folders called Data & Output.
You put the things you want to patch in the Data folder & open the tool
Go to file > patch and it will ask a few things... for patch number is whatever you want.
Patch will be on output folder.
Use search button to get his tool :3
I am using the Shaiya Data file Tool. When i click create patch, it gives me an error and asks if i want to continue or close the program. When i press continue, it doesn't do anything. Am i using the wrong tool?
[Request] Updater Problem 10/02/2010 - Shaiya Private Server - 0 Replies ok so ive gone throu an made about 17 different clients so far an have gotten the same error everytime its tellin me "the file is corrupted caused by forced shutdown of the updater". Ive gone throu everytime an redownloaded a new updater an re-did everything 17 times an yes i counted everytime cause it was epicly pissing me off. [REQUEST]Updater Help 09/22/2010 - Shaiya Private Server - 3 Replies Ok... since no one wishes to answer my post... I really have no choice but to ask like this. Here's the problem: I am trying to make a new updater that updates. However, I am getting 3 warnings when i do different things.
1. I run the updater. It patches ok the first time. After I close it, it deletes my version.ini, and tells me I don't have one (obviously).
2. It opens the updater, closes it, makes a new updater, and runs a command prompt.
3. It opens, and gives me a runtime error.
