How to edit your own updater....

Hey, Well, right now i'm bored so I decided to make this post.. hope this helps
you guys out...

Lets start by download a hex editor... Any hex editor..
i use HxD

Once you have it open your Hex Editor and go to File > Open ( look for the updater you're gonna edit now ) and double click it.

Now you wanna go to Search > Find and type http://

Now i'm gonna do this by editing the OS Updater.exe so when i type
http:// i should get... this...

Code:

.http:// shaiya.aeriagames. com/sygame/notice..êµ´ë¦¼ì²´...open....http:// login.aeriagames .com/index.php?q=user/register...http:// shaiya.aeriagames .com/...UpdateVersion-mjw-.ini..Completed...Update Completed....(Kb/s)..

Now, you change that to your website.. lets say mine is ...
http:// example. com/Notice.... the next one would be
http:// example. com/Register..... last one will be...
http:// example. com/.... once you have that edited you go to search>find
TEST_IP
and you shoudl get....

Code:

TEST_IP.shaiya.patch.aeriagames .com..\CONFIG.ini

You edit that to either your IP, or your website... ima do both for this example.. but when you edit yours you gotta chose either IP or website.

So i change shaiya.patch.aeriagames.com to...
127.0.0.1 so it would look TEST_IP.127.0.0.1
Now, on my website it would be...
example .com\ should look like.. TEST_IP.example .com

Once thats done, you save or save as and thats it... open updater
and if you have any patches in your website, it should start patching ( if you did it right ofc.. )

yea, how to change them ??
(apparently they are stored in plain sdata and not in .rsrc)

you didn't explain that 2nd link is the "online register" URL ... but how to have the "Create Account" button visible ?

Hi all,brauche hilffe beim updaten,kan mier wer bitte helffen wie man genauer update macht hab probiert aber kommt immer Profilec08 wen ich update starte,und wo mus ich eig die psxxx.patch machen,und die updateversion.ini CONFIG.ini musen die im Webseite sein mit patchs zusammen,oder wie geht das,hab nicht ganz verstanden wie das genau geht daswegen brauche noch etwas hilffe,hab alles soweit fertig nur das fählt.danke
