Seeing Past Chats?
is there a way i can see what people say in game? is it recorded anywhere into a .txt file or something that i can find, open and read through?

there is a chat log in the DB. If you want to spend ur time reading through all that. More power to you.

you'll have to fix the stored proc and also the table. When I installed mine, the chat table was all varchar type that only stored like 13 chars in each column. You'll have to change each column to the correct type and length.

My chat log has every whisper, trade, area, guild, party, and normal chat.

ummm, why exactly would you need that? if its a player complaint, they should just give you a SS of whatever chat problem was. personally i feel whispers and guild chat shouldn't be scanned by GMs unless theres a legitimate reason

becuz that way people wont have to give me screenshots, I will be able to simply check logs daily and make sure nothing vulgar was said and ban whoever did what shouldn't have been done.

your putting way too much work on yourself bro, let them prove it, no need to search the DB to find out, if they want the person banned that bad they will fraps and SS anything wrong they do

i respect that bro, but dont get yourself caught up under a boatload of people claiming others are sayin **** in trade or whatever just to try and get em banned
your gonna be spendin 24 hours a day tracking down those conversations

not really, ill be able to manage, but its also if somebody doesnt have a SS for instance one of my GS's print screen button doesnt work, I can check chat logs and be set err so I was hoping.
