Revolution Shaiya in need of a Developer

I have nothing against his pServer I just wanted to make it clear that it is no way connected to the previous Evo Staff Administration or Server etc.
I believe the server/GM names may be a bit misleading and wanted to clarify any confusion, there was no "bashing" in my post.

Lmao are you fucking serious? You try to setup a server.. fail.
You ask for help to setup your server, some basic php, and teach you some basics... success (I think)
After your setup, you decide to insult and bann him... smart.
You decide to move your server to a laptop because your clueless how to repartetion a HDD to larger then 2GB's .. lmao .. fail.
After realising you can't set it up as easily as you thought, cause you have no computer intelect, you try to make amends with the only dev you had. After being hard headed and yet offending him again, you made accusations of him stealing your player base... pathetic
Now your trying to Dev someone else's server claiming you know stuff you are actualy clueless on?
You never seem to amaze me but goodluck.. your going to need it.

Thanks for clearing that up as many have PM'd me thinking it was evo trying to be reborn. I saw the signs and also have/had inside info to confirm it wasn't. I just felt it wasn't my place to confirm it.

Possum, as much as i respect you for making such a great server and as much as i love your works, i cant understand your attemp of making the owner look like a name stealer or something... he simply wants to give everyone who loved your server, a similar playing atmosphere and service. what is to say against that? i don't get it.. you should actually be proud that someone loved your server so much that he doesnt want to let it die.

i know GM Pozz... yeah the name may be a bit copied.. i dont know.
but he is a really friendly guy and he is really thinking about how to make the server amusing for the players, and not money-making for himself !

I honestly had to read this a few times before I could respond. I see you changed your tone after reviewing your response.

When someone "trys" to claim someone else's work, fakes names, or mis-interputs/mimics the public, they deserve alot worse in my opinion. If it isn't an open source, a release, or authorized content and you promote it, then your sad and don't belong within the community. We all loved evolution at one time or another, but it is gone... forever. There will not be a replacement for evo so people should stop trying and create thier own work. Learn what you need to acomplish your goals and everything else needed for basic server maintainace is listed within here and the "zone".

/rant ~ The server revolution or w/e it is seems to have some great ideas but lacks alot of originality. Untill they realise this it will fail. Also false advertising is a major minus to your possible playerbase. I just don't see you having 800 players when only 10-15 are regstered. Your GM names will make more people frown and complain more then it will stimulate. I'm not downing your server cause I think and know its not easy work maintaining it. But IMO close it to the public, make some changes, then release a beta after more thought and considerations.

Everyone from Evo is just trying to find a decent server life after Evo. I applaud this guy in at least trying to make a decent p-server. I grant the fact that he could have at least came up with his one server/screen name but so be it. There is not one single p-Server out there for shaiya (OS included) worth playing at the moment. For those of use that love shaiya it makes it hard after Evo died. Possum made a great server but also made some mistakes otherwise he would still be on too.

Ok, I sat back and didnt respond because this stuff was Non-sense. But ya' know....

Possum, I am sorry if you thought i was trying to claim anything off of your work. This was never the case. Sadly, for the 3-4 weeks I was on Evo, I was actually quite a frequent supporter of the server on MR as well as one of the first to play and donate whileplaying on LR.

I mean not to be rude, but never once did I claim former Evo staff had anything to do with my server. Yes, I directed my advertising towards the former Evo members. Why? Because we were all without a home. I don't see anything wrong with this. Obviously neither did the other 534726727 servers that had sprouted in the wake of Evo's fall. Many of which made much more direct adverts towards Evo than I. Yet their posts went untouched. Amusing.

Aside from that if anyone has actually gone to the site and followed the forums and such you would have a much more understanding of whats happening. Even on the site there is NO CLAIM OF HAVING ANY ASSOCIATION WITH EVO. In fact it is stated that the original plan for th server had nothing more than minor features similar to Evo MR. Further more, in several spots I actually make it a point to make tribute and show respect for what you had accomplished with Evo.

However, much of that has changed, as the added aggrevation of dealing with unjustified remarks, claims, and insinuations have gotten to the point that it is not worth it.

The tone of the server has been geared more towards OS as it orignially was with the exception of a few changes.

Perhaps before any further remarks are made it may be useful to visit the site. Read the original advert here. And possibly...just maybe...understand that many are simply trying to fill a void that was left by possibly the greatest private server to grace the Shaiya fans.

I didn't think using a name of rEvolution would cause such a stir. Sadly, it has been changed throughout my site to simply Revolution since the spawn of this garbage. Sadly, aside from advetising a new server as a possible home to lost players...thats as close an anything ever came to "claiming" anything of Evo. Hell, your own site is plagued with adverts for other servers. Thats some pretty direct attempt to pull your former player-base. Yet, I still frequent the Evo site and have seen nothing of this nature directed at the ones on your very site. Including Tech who also felt the need to respond here.

And finally, 10-15 members? May want to look again. I had 10-15 members the first hour or so of the site being opened. And as far as closing it to the public and fixing this and that and whatever...Wow. Again, go to the site before making assumptions or simply siding with whatever sounds good on a subject that was ridiculous to begin with. To be more clear: THE SERVER HASN'T BEEN LAUNCHED FOR EVEN BETA YET.

Seems I have hit a nerve with my server. For this I won't apologize. However, I will apologize for any misconceptions that may have arose do to the pure laziness to look into a matter before responding.

- You have NO CLUE about to get a server running.
- You've banned the guy who helped you before.
- You try to run a shaiya server on your notebook (omfg).
- You give an offer for about 50% to somebody, wo will do 100% at all.
- You are crying arround because you cant get it yourself.

Im sorry mate.
All you want is to fill the money-leak, nothing more.
You better fill your site with cheap advertisments as long as people still visit it.
You wont get more out of it.

The same markus who was begging for Possum's database and files lol who has yet to show a server. Anyway, don't let em get to you, it's your server do as you please. In response to the actual topic of this thread, I don't really see splitting 50% profits all that bad. He offered to work alongside a partner, And said he would provide hosting for quite some time to get it off the ground, not everyone here can support funding a dedi long term. Of course, you don't have to accept his offer(considering it's even still available).

Markus it appears your reading comprehension skills are subpar. I believe he wants to do alpha testing on a notebook or PC for the purposes of major debugging etc, then he wants to move the files to a dedicated server and launch a beta testing phase with a few hundred players. Let your eyes read, and your brain understand, before you let your fingers type.

I'm a bit confused here -- did markus even read the start of this post ???
This post originally started with someone looking for a coder/developer to do the work for his server that he happened to be calling revolution.
Then kb3 dropped in to inform said person that rEvolution was actually already taken.
Now Markus is confusing the two people.
And making us dumber the more he writes. Please stop Markus we already have to many less then intelligent players in all our servers.
