hi! i have an extra computer and tried to install a shaiya pserver for fun.
1. i have setup an sql server and shaiya pserver (episode 5) and all worked fine. started shaiya pserver and all green >
2. downloaded files here for my client (game.exe) for episode 5
3. put in my local computer together with other client files downloaded from other shaiya private server. edited updated.exe using hex editor and replaced the existing address with 127.0.0.1 for local computer.
4. i also edited game.exe and put 127.0.0.1 to connect it to local computer. run a command in PSMserver_Mgr.exe /vchkoff so that it will not check the version.
but when i run game.exe it says "The file has been corrupted caused by a force shutdown of the updator. Please install the client again.c22"
can you help me out with this problem? thanks in advance.
