IP Trolling me

hello , ikr i might be bothering a bit these days but now im facing another problem. I may look a bit unfamiliar with this but ive been looking for almost 2 days on forums about how to fix my problem and im still at the same point ...

So here it is: My problem is that i cant connect using either my 192.168..... or my external IP adress .

I've opened port 30800 and 30810 . Everything was working right with 127.0.0.1 tho.

The ip is well fixed in the Game.exe and the TCP/IP in MSQL manager thingy is well enabled / all ips are on ....


Where is the problem xD..?


* I've also changed the IP in PSM_CLIENT/bin/config/game.ini to my external one...

There's 3 IPs that need to be changed to the external IP if you want it to work.
Before I tell you which ones, note that you cannot play from the same machine you have the server on if the server IP is external.
So, the 3 locations where you must write your expernal IP:

• PSM_Client\Bin\Config\ps_game.ini
• PSM_Server\Config\PSMServer_Config.ini
• PSM_Server\ShaiyaServerPatch\Config\Game01\PS_Game \ps_game.ini

alright thanks ima look this up , hope it was the actual problem..

Maybe it is the game.exe's fault so ima put an image showing which ips i changed just tell me if thats right atm ( 127.0.0.1 works well enough with the two ips i changed so..)

Keep it 127.0.0.1 if you wanna play alone, and if you make it public you'd have to make it external already, and basically host it somewhere else than your home PC if you wanna play.

oh well for sure im planning on hosting it somewhere else but only when everything's gonna be done...
could you done one more thing tho ? look at this game exe and tell me which IP i should change.. I've looked up on forrums and it said like 5 ip up the CONFIG text but well ... not clear at all imo

What I always do is Ctrl + F to search for CONFIG. When I find it, I look down, there's a bunch of IPs. Start counting them from the bottom. The 6th IP is the one you need to change.

Sometimes I need to test stuff on my local server, and a make it public so a few friends can join. I just edit these two:

PSM_Client\Bin\Config\ps_game.ini
PSM_Server\Config\PSMServer_Config.ini

I can play locally also, either with 127.0.0.1 or using the public IP.

If you have dynamic ip, you could use the no-ip service for the updater, but you will have to add the game.exe with the new ip to the patch, everytime.

Of course this is just useful for testing/fun, but if you want to actually launch a public server, hiring a dedicated server is mandatory.

Note: Be sure to not allow external connections to your SQL Server. Just 127.0.0.1.

ok so i tried with using a different IP and its still giving me "checking notice board" error .

Weird thing tho is that the error pops as soon as i open the game.exe . Normally that error comes after a few seconds no?
