New to server side of things

Ok, been on OS, and private servers, seen some pretty good ones,,, and agree with [Admin]Snuggle on his or her,,( sry, dont know ),,,, "To everyone making a server or running one" thread.... pretty much anyway,, everyone has their own opinions, but this was the closest to mine,,, anyhow...

I was playing on shaiya supremacy, liked it,,, not exactly what I wanted, but, it was ok,,, still have an issue with instant lvling.. sry,, I believe you should work a little for your toon to really appreciate the game... And, now it seems the GM, will be in the hospital for a time,, sad... and Im tired of moving from server to server,,,, anyhow, again,

I have been tired of the OS, changing things, left and right, and everyone dominating everyone else just because they can,,, when in fact, they shouldnt,, i also find it dis-respectful... seen alot of people prey on the weak, and just to add kill points and such,,, pvp sucks,,, I love and miss 1-15 pvp, was my most favorite place to be... most pvp servers,,, from what I have seen, dont use it much because they instant lvl, and its like there is no more reason to even touch that portal,,, again, some do, but, usually, small groups... or even smaller... but wanted to try to make a shaiya server i could be proud of,,, and hope to include everyone that is farmers and pvper's alike...

So, with all that book above being said for this very simple quest,,,
What is the best in your opinion, tutorial on starting a shaiya server, and then upgrading it to hopefully ep6, but, read someplace that is pushing the issue even though I found server files for it here, whether they work or not...but, sure the possibilities after working for awhile to at least get some kind of ep 5.xxx... anyhow, where should someone start on what you think is the best tutorial for the job?

I will be learning through this entire situation, but, figured better to learn, and fail trying, or learn to at least try to succeed,,, I have plenty of time on my hands, so figured I could try to learn how to do it.. besides,, have friends that arent playing now because it seems nothing out there is like the OS, and OS isnt as enjoyable as it used to be.... specially the equality between pvp toons, like [Admin]Snuggle stated in the "To everyone making a server or running one" thread,,,, I do have php and mysql experience, and some android programming,, just not certified,,, so, dedicated in learning it if need be, specially anything with c++....

What happened to helping guys who are actually interested in learning? Who cares if it is posted in the wrong section. He doesn't seem to know which section to place the post in since he is new here.

For all the constant rambling everyone does about how this or that needs to be changed to restore the community, you'd think that welcoming someone new with criticism might be a step in the wrong direction.

If you are seriously interested in learning TC, pm me and I will help point you in the direction of people who will actually help you out and answer questions.

Never said he wasn't able to 'follow forum rules', he just probably doesn't know them, and really is it so big a deal where he posts something that it becomes necessary for you to chime in and give him **** about it.

Also never said that he wouldn't be able to solve issues without 'my people'. Just saying that some of us would rather help him out. Whereas you asshats seem to only be capable of busting his chops for something that really doesn't matter anyway.

Elitepvpers contains enough tutorials on how to create a server, and I bet tcase1 didn't even bother to try and install the server files. How do you imagine the situation would be if everyone who succeeded in having a server would have asked how to do it instead of simply following the tons of tutorials available here ?

Again, CyC is just like a backup server of the elitepvpers Shaiya section, so in case elitepvpers is temporarily unavailable, on CyC you can read the exact same tutorials that are posted on elitepvpers, possibly posted by a different person, and possibly without due credits.

Well, that's how the community welcomed me two years ago, but I wanted to get everything working so I didn't really care about it.

If tcase1 would have put some effort in searching for easy and good tutorials he had a server running already.
For me the easiest tutorial was Omega's video tutorial, but his videos got removed already. I'm pretty sure you will find some great tutorials, tcase1.

back when it was old school programming, people helped people... you had similiar situations with people being rude,
but, moderators took care of the problem,,, if they didnt straighten up, they were banned,, simply put.

but, if this is how people is treated after 4 years of ever being in a forum, or even someone that has never
done this sort of thing, and have been in a forum, this is extremely rude,,, there will always be new people.

shaiya, naturally the game,,,
pserver,,, well, naturally private server,,,
and well heck,
development,, what does that tell me? developement,,, simple...
the act or process of developing... growth, process..
in which what Ive learned over the years, is needed when dealing with LEARNING TO DEVELOPE THINGS FOR THE SERVER.
So, if I want to learn to DEVELOPE THE ENTIRE SERVER FROM INSTALL ON,,, what more perfect place than the "SHAIYA PSERVER DEVELOPEMENT SECTION"...
Not everyone is going to read the rules.... at first... the section for "Shaiya private server" could be for anything...
not just development,, but, for the main customer relations,,, which some people dont have,,, or for looking for private server hosts,
or, advertising on their site,, hmmm, NOT DEVELOPMENT,,, which in what I thought over the many years of programming in other languages seemed
to be DEVELOPMENT,,, but, evidently over the years things have changed,,, no biggie... so, explain it, even if it is over, and over again,,,
I dont care if people get tired of telling new people the same thing over and over,, and some people even need told over and over while they learn...
not everyone is so intelligent to pick things up like certain senior members... so, sorry about that.... those who dont have customer service, courteous, kind, respect for others,,,

but,,, not something Im expecting,,, I have a windows 7 OS, just put back to factory settings, so, probably have to
do some more updates, just downloaded SQL Server 2012 Express, but, havent installed in case I wont need it,,,
and according to the tutorial, will deal with other software and such as it comes along,,, I dont mind taking my time and having to go over things,,,
over, and over again,,, thats why they call it LEARNING... once I can get things to the point of actually having a running server, I can then work on
updating it, adding too it, work on more of the programming side of things,,, maybe learning how to programm more in c++,
Ive liked some of lilprohackers things, Ive like some of shaiya omega's tutorials,,, which in my case seems to be the best
that ive found, but, no offense to shaiya omega's culture,,, I have a hard time understanding the language or accent...
being an english speaking american bastard,,,, I wasnt smart enought to take other languages in high school...
And, my wife married an asshole... I could have been more rude, and dis-respectful myself, because I dont give a crap if I posted
in the wrong place or not,,, not when others are rude,,, but, tried to be as polite as possible in explaining plainly, and

as a matter of fact, there is - and sorry for repetition - no sections purely dedicated to impressions, feelings, wishes, etc. and YES it's always a pity / an issue that causes people to not know for sure where to post.

I noted that you already posted comments on +/- the same subject with deeper details and analysis, unfortunately you didn't receive any response/comment for .
