Anyone Doing a New Private Server?

Hello!
I got a mad desire of playing Shaiya!

And i would like a nice server but i tried a few of the ones posted in the Private server advertising section.Not for me.

I don't know why people try to customize a game so perfect!
I mean shaiya original gives all you need.
Fun and competition so why change it?

I would play on Shaiya Original if only essential stuff would be free.But this can't be possible so..

I saw a lot of smart people on here and..Why not making a team to make 1 big fixed secured super server?

Just take the US client,Edit item mall to make essentials like (RESS RUNES 30 day , EXP STONE 30 day PID 30 day EE 30 day RP + KO NOSS)

You would earn a lot of money anyway with donations and Item mall stuff like the item mall of Shaiya US.

Drops like retail
Exp 1x
Just make drop rate a lil bit higher.But just a bit.

No other modifications.

A pure shaiya where everyone can enjoy and have fun just like in the past.

It's so simple to have success :\ But no one seems to understand it.

Today servers are all full of stuff that umbalance the game like shields for classes who don't usually wear them modded skills and modded gears..

Just stay on classic.

Obviously, i'm talking to the real smart people not those who own servers to dominate on them or make their friends dominate on them.

Or to those who make pservers for fast easy money.

I'm talking to those smarts who have a passion.

The idea is good, what happens is that every time a server with low rates appear, people start complaining that they want easier leveling; if a server gives just the essentials for free, people start complaining that they can't get anything for free -they just want everything given to them- and so on, so it is really hard to get a server populated nowadays...

But that's why "we" need smart people!
A smart admin listen to his server population.But only when it say smart things!

If i'm doing a 1x server why would people join if then they want higher exp?
No reason.So not listening to requests like this will help to mantain the server population who has the biggest brain and who joined for the same interests of the others in the server.

For the essential items...It's the same..the stuff i listed is enough to do everything easy!We could add sprint nostrum or something else i don't have in mind now...But why one should put lucky charms or lapisia in it.
Farm is the nicest part of the game! I made a lot of friend on us just farming.
But on pservers you can't. You are too uber to farm with someone, and so you will see people fighting for the same spot or not farming at all.
I know "end game" is pvp but pvp is not all at all.
I wanna farm i wanna pvp i want raids for CT Sera, Kanos.


Today u just need to look at item malls to understand the server.

People wants to make fast money but they are not smart enough..
The most of the item malls work like this:

You can drop a lvl 70 piece of gear from mobs.
You can have the same piece of gear in item mall for 9999999999999 AP and 3x defence more 10x stats more.

So what will this mean? I don't buy it it cost too much, but someone with a lot of money will buy it...1 time.

And what u obtain ingame?
People leaving because of the too uber donator.

And that's right! People should leave those servers.

They have no "marketing" conception.

And this no brain, no marketing conception , this desire of feeling like a true admin this desire of easy money everything of that sht ruins their servers,the game, and people too.

Hard to find nice people today.

hey im not sure if my soon to be server is good for you but its not quiet as hard as OS but its not gunna be as simple as alot of server....its not advertised as im not willing to release it till im 100% ok with it having a 99% uptime with minimal restarts or mods.....but its reasonable leveling but its so far full ep6 server (as to all the releases so far). 70 gear is still off kanos and dc bosses and the ep6 gear is gunna be off the ep6 bosses in the ep6 maps... we still have a bit to do to get it running....but if you would like to add me to skype feel free.

Strictly not advertised as i dont want ppl getting there hopes up for it being up in like a week or 2. just saw your post thought you might like to help out with suggestions in closed beta when its running

I've been playing on OS-Phoenix these days! already Got a lvl 36 hm Orc.

The worst part of Shaiya is by far the leveling system.
The most attractive part of it is it's amazing pvp system.
Sadly people believe it can run off pure pvp. It can't.
The issue what private servers is the fact no one wants to level.
Well the issue of that is the fact that it gets boring when you are max level and max geared.
OS has appeal because it takes so long to get max level and max out your toon.
Partly because the population is so big. Mostly because the leveling rate.
The thing that private servers need most of all is the appeal.
Pure pvp isn't a lasting appeal. Never will be.
I could personally NEVER make a server with original drops.
Why? I love customization. There is sooooo many items OS doesn't use plus more.
Why not use them is my question?
The great thing about private servers is the customization.
So asking for an exact copy of OS in p-server form...won't be very popular sadly
It can have appeal..yet people know the admin of it has the power to truly change things.
Which they will want so in the end it will change or lose appeal.

Well customizations should be done by people who are able to do them..You can't put fire in kid hands or they will burn everything.And most of people who customize is doing that.
I loved a lot of customizations of some Pservers but what i've seen these months it's really orrible!

Customize something is ok...change the game is not cutomize.

It's that the point.If it take a lot, people MUST help each other to obtain something.
Co-Operate is the key of the game..Why you think they put a Perfect Party Bonus!?!?!?
Because they wanted people to make groups to grow faster.

When u join servers, this dont' happen.
Go play everywhere!No groups and people start to make guilds of 7-8 people who do all alone because they Super-Uber and can do everything alone or just with 1 priest.
This must not happen! No one should be able to do something alone!NO ONE!

And no one understand this!
The less power people have, the best the game will be!! Why do you think people still love EP3 and 4?

Haha trust me we've tried too many times to get all our devs together and start working together into one big project, but peoples ideas of a perfect server drift away from each other.

But hey you have a great idea and instead of asking for servers like this (which maybe Shaiya Classic is like that, havnt tried it) you should make your own and see how many people you can get on that

Also Shaiya Light and Dark is a good server :P Cause im there.

Keep in mind that if you're going to get a nice, populated and after all, successful, private server you will end up getting DDoS'd by one ****** we all know... My all time favourite server Shaiya Nemesis got shut down yesterday after suffering from months of DDoS attacks...

And I completely agree that the private servers are rubbish nowadays, sorry but it's my opinion. It's just unplayable **** with all those customized lapises and donator gears... And yeah, Nemesis was pretty much like a server described here... Rest in peace Nemesis...

If i was able to do my pserver i wasn't asking for 1 :P
(i'm working on it on VirtualBox but got stuck)

But i'm sure i would have a lot of people on it.
But i'm sure again i would be ddossed in less than 24h xD

I dont' know how but i got a virus on the virtual machine while tring to download the ShaiyaLite package on epvp.
I got scared and i deleted the VM with the database!!
Oh my *** you can't imagine how i was scared!A pop up came out telling me it was Postal police xD
And that i had to pay a FINE for illecit contenent on my pc in 72 hours xD
I said WTF xD
Closed virtual machine and deleted the instance ahahhahaha
Then i looked in the web and i saw was a fraud.
But my first instinct it's been of close and delete xD

Now i have to reinstall XP Msql and server =(

I always have this kind of trouble when i try °_°
