It's only against rules to post "coming soon" threads for releases in the release section. However there is no rule even against a coming soon release in the general/pserver sections.

You should have them double check they can even download the patch from the exact path you're giving your autopatcher. As the patch client is purely using the same interface as IE so it should work...
