FAQ: The Battle of the Titans!
The Battle of the Titans - from 14th August until 29th August, 2014
The Battle of the Titans features the following:
- Two Teams waging war against each other
- New Gaia Defender ship design
- New Ouranos Warrior ship design
- New Morphrodite ship design
- New Event Quests!
What are the start and end dates of the event? The event will start at 12 noon (local server time) on 14th August and end at 12 noon on 29th August (local server time). The Black Market will be open until the end of the day on 2nd September (LST). The event is split into 5 phases which all start and end at 12 noon (local server time):
- Phase 1: 14th – 17th August
- Phase 2: 17th – 20th August
- Phase 3: 20th – 23rd August
- Phase 4: 23rd – 26th August
- Phase 5: 26th – 29th August.
What will take place during the Battle of the Titans event? During the Battle of the Titans event you must nail your colors to the mast and pick which team you want to fight for – Gaia (green) or Ouranos (red)!
Once you have chosen which team to support, you can gain reputation points for your team by shooting NPCs from the opposing team. For each opponent NPC you sink you will gain points for your team!
The event has 5 phases each lasting 72 hours and running from 12 noon to 12 noon. After each phase, the top supporters from each team will be rewarded. Once the prizes have been awarded, the phase’s points will be reset to 0 and a new ranking will start for the next phase where you can once again choose which team to support!
Can I change teams during the course of a phase?
Yes you can! If you want to change your allegiance you can do so by counteracting the reputation points you have already gained by shooting your own team’s NPCs. By doing that you will lose reputation points with them until you hit 0 and eventually start gaining points for the other team.
What event NPCs will there be & what rewards will they give?
During the event there will be 8 NPCs sailing around all the PvP maps – 4 for Team Gaia (in green) and 4 for Team Ouranos (in red).
Gaia Defender and Ouranos Warrior can be shot with Gold ammo whilst Rhea, Theia and Phoibe (for Team Gaia) and Kronos, Hyperion and Okeanos (for Team Ouranos) must be shot with Pearl ammo.
Pyre Ammo will cause extra damage against event NPCs.
Gaia Defender and Ouranos Warrior will give Experience Points and Pearls (the amount you receive depends on how much damage you cause against them). They will also give 1 Reputation Point to the player who causes the most damage against the NPC. If you cause at least 5% of the total damage to these NPCs you will also receive 1 Coin which will be required for some of the Event Quests.
Rhea, Theia, Phoibe, Kronos, Hyperion and Okeanos will give Experience Points, Reputation Points Crystals and Pearls (the amount you receive depends on how much damage you cause against them). Again, you will receive some Coins if you cause at least 5% of the damage to these NPCs.
What rewards can I get from the Event Ranking?
There will be two types of rankings – one at the end of each phase and one at the end of the whole event. At the end of each phase, the following prizes will be booked:
- 1st place: 2x Libra Bonus Maps, 10,000,000 Elite Points, the team badge of the team you are supporting and 400 Souls (Cursed OR Radiant, depending on which team you are supporting)
- 2nd – 5th place: 1x Aquarius Bonus Map, 5,000,000 Elite Points, the team badge of the team you are supporting and 200 Souls (Cursed OR Radiant, depending on which team you are supporting)
- 6th – 10th place: 1x Taurus Bonus Map, 500,000 Elite Points, the team badge of the team you are supporting and 100 Souls (Cursed OR Radiant, depending on which team you are supporting)
- 11th – 100th place: 30,000 Pyre Ammo, 250,000 Experience Points and 50 Souls (Cursed OR Radiant, depending on which team you are supporting).
In addition, if you finish in the top 100 places
and are on the winning team for that phase you will receive 1 Team Point which will count towards the main end ranking. If you are on the winning team you will also receive double the amount of Souls listed above.
At the end of the whole event, any player who has 3 or more Team Points for the team that has won the most times over the 5 phases will receive 14 days of the Queen’s Legacy.
Please note that the maximum number of Team Points you could possibly earn is 5 which is only possible if you finish in the top 100 of your team for each of the 5 phases AND your team (Gaia or Ouranos) wins all 5 phases.
Are there any Quest Givers in this event?
Yes, there are two Quest Givers – one for each team! Cassandra is the Quest Giver for Team Gaia, whilst Ajax is the Quest Giver for Team Ouranos. They will be located in the Safe Havens - Cassandra will be on the Safe Havens on the west side of the map whilst Ajax will appear on the Safe Havens on the east side of the map as well as on the 1/4 PVE map.
You are only able to do the quests for the team you are supporting. If you switch teams during a quest it will be automatically aborted but then you are able to start the quests for your new team. If you have 0 reputation points you are unable to do any of the quests from either team.
There are new quests for each of the 5 phases in which only the last quest stage is repeatable.
What items do the Event Treasure Chests contain?
The Event Treasure Chests contain various items including Pyre Ammo, Heartbreaker Ammo, Mojos, Crystals, the Lost Love action item or a level 2 gem!
What items do the Oracles of Delphi contain?
To destroy an Oracle of Delphi you must use harpoons. They are taggable in the same way shipwrecks are! They contain various items including Pyre Ammo, Crystals, Seer’s Vision or a level 1 or level 2 gem!
What can I do with all the Souls I’ve collected?
Cursed and Radiant Souls can be used to purchase items in the Black Market! These items include the new Ship Designs which will be available from 12 noon on 23rd August (local server time). Other items available in the Black Market during the event include Pyre Ammo, the Event Keys and a range of Buff Items.
What stats will the new ship design have?
The Gaia Defender ship design has the following stats:
- Defensive gem Level 13 “Gleaming Lapis Lazuli“: 65,000 HP
- Defensive gem Level 7 “Scoured Sapphire“: 35,000 VP
- Offensive gem Level 13 “Gleaming Ruby“: 13% cannon damage
- Offensive gem Level 10 “Cut Garnet“: 10% harpoon damage
- Special gem “Aventurine“: 5% Armor Plates Protection
The Ouranos Warriorr ship design has the following stats:
- Defensive gem Level 13 “Gleaming Lapis Lazuli“: 65,000 HP
- Defensive gem Level 7 “Scoured Sapphire“: 35,000 VP
- Offensive gem Level 13 “Gleaming Ruby“: 13% cannon damage
- Offensive gem Level 10 “Cut Garnet“: 10% harpoon damage
- Special gem “Amber“: 5% PvP Damage
The Morphrodite ship design has the following stats:
- Defensive gem Level 1 “Splinted Lapis Lazuli“: 5,000 HP
- Defensive gem Level 1 “Splinted Sapphire“: 5,000 VP
- Offensive gem Level 13 “Pressed Ruby“: 2% cannon damage
What happens to my Souls and Event Keys at the end of the event?
Cursed and Radiant Souls will be exchanged for in-game items at the end of the event. Specific details will be revealed nearer the end of the event. The Event Keys will be replaced by normal chest keys at a ratio of 1:1. Coins
will not be exchanged for anything at the end of the event.
