Dynamic IP address, but how to make it actually change?

I have a dynamic IP address and I called my provider they told me 30 min to an hour to turn off the router and it will change (I have router and modem in one btw). I turned it off for an hour and it didn't change, then again for 3 hours and it didn't change. Do I have to leave it off for longer or am I doing something wrong? What I did was just unplug it. Also I called them asking to change the IP and they just said we can't change it but it's dynamic.

Also, if I look at my Ipv4 on ipconfig on my PC it seems to be different from what I get if I google what's my IPv4. Is it possible that my browser is just stuck on the old IP or that's not a thing

If restarting your router doesn't work, you will need to change your routers mac address to renew the public ipv4 lease. If you don't have that functionality you will need to purchase a router that has. You seem to be confusing local ipv4 address(ref: ipconfig) with the public ipv4.

I'm pretty sure I can't do it on my router, it's xfinity router modem combo. I'm just gonna take it over to xfinity and hope they replace it I'll say my wi-fi has been slow

As I said, you need to replace it with a router that has this functionality. Standard routers will not, so you're probably wasting your time swapping with another limited "isp provided router".

Well I only need to change it once as I don't plan on getting banned again, as I said I'm not cheating I got banned for "exceptional toxicity" by some ***** *** admin lol. I was told my Ipv4 would change if I got a different router, that's correct right?

I could also buy a new router I guess but I'm not sure I need it and I get mine for free. Is there any specific router you would recommend if you think just swapping it won't work?

Changing the MAC of your router would ban you from the provider (at least in Germany, maybe other countries as well) resulting in a call with your ISP to whitelist the new router.
You can try the following for free:
Call your ISP and tell them you work in IT with a lot of cloud services like AWS or Google. Tell them your IP has been blocked on many of these providers preventing to do your job. Ask them nicely if the can trigger a change of your public ip adress.

That's ridiculous. That would ban every single person that decides to swap out their router. I have never heard of any provider doing that and this has never been a problem for us, and technically speaking; should never be.

Aggreed, still be prooven to work in GER. GER ISP whitelist the customers MAC, it is either a router provided by the ISP itself or a private one that needs whitelisting on ISP side.

Hello community I found this tutorial and I thought it would be useful for a lot of people, since I also got HWID Banned due to EO. Follow these instructions STEP BY STEP & you should be fine. http://i.epvpimg.com/rprMf.png 1. First off you might want to reformat & reinstall Windows. This will be you safe bet. If you don't want to go through all the trouble & want to risk just changing your HWID, you can download a couple of tools that will do it for you. In the past I have found these...
