Can someone just copy paste the XorRohan files.
Make it a full pvp server with max lvl 115 because the most of the players likes that iven if i prefer the old stile with lvl cap 99, and make the costumes +40 all stats +5k hp and hat +25 all stats onli for donators , and maybe the best at pvp (weakly event,7 days costume) will get one for free.
And make that u cant use magic atack and mele atack scrols at the same time (because wee all are tired of overpowered templars).
Make estetic items that lock awesome but give you just a litle to no benfits in the battle.
You need to make money to kep the server up but at list dont make it pay to win or farming simaltor, wee are all tired of that and dont bother puting on all the conqueror , trinity , onyx , a.o.d. and all the other ****.
I will personaly donate the money to mentain the server online for the first 2-3 mounth (just joking im broke AF).

Been tried over and over and over ad nauseum. Nobody has been able to create such a server that can survive more than a year or so. People get bored with it fast and leave.

My server was survive for more than 18 months for sure , because on that 18 months i was rent on spartanhost , and before that i rent on various hosting like OVH and locix llc .

You can try the server on my signature,theres no op classes,rings,armors,weapons. Max armor/weapon you can get is glacial. Ring based on STR,DEX,INT,PSY,VIT + the insurgents. Its a medium rate server,drop,enchant etc. We have free item mall points for staying online and so on.

The only reason Xor was so "good" was because it was the only server around.

If you were to put it back up, it would be incredibly outdated and only gain a tiny fraction of the population it had previously, therefore not having any of the "magic" it used to have.

Server that every class had invenom (u can use invenom during evo )and a "normal"hit in ur server was like 50k up to 500k per crit xD

That right there is the whole truth. Xor was popular because there was nothing else except the official game. Xor today would be just so-so. It really had nothing more than most of the others servers out there.

Today if every server except one closed, it would be the *** server to which all others are compared.

But that ain't gonna happen, is it.

But that ain't gonna happen, is it.

And people wonder why we didn't want the files to go public. It's hardly set the Rohan world alight with amazing and original ideas - because there has never been a repository of high-end dev-capable players within the community like the big name mmos have had.

You can try but you have ben done 17 tries already so im not puting hope on you and i want to play it now not in 2019 , maibe later.

If you can do it right i dont think it will happen, if the gm and co-owners can be 2 hours a day and make pvp events were you can win 1% beter item , and you need to have all the items 1% to make somting 2% beter so then you will need a loot of time to realy be beter and to not do it just pay to win , that is the shit that destrois games

This is my first attempt at my "own" server. I've been part of 3 live servers and each was successful at the time - Xor, Underground, DarkGamerz (first release). Success tends to follow me around, not a lot I can do about that.

The problem with servers is 3-sided affair. Balance, content and population. It's something I've taken from them boring corporate powerpoint presentations. Pretty much the only thing I've taken from them. You have a triangle, each corner represents something. Balance and content are the bottom corners, the dev's input, and population is the corner at the top, the outcome and the goal. The bottom 2 feed upwards into the top. Give your server enough content and the right balance and you complete the triangle with a happy and healthy population.

Xor in an untouched state has neither content nor balance so it wouldn't achieve a decent population. The name might attract a lot of people at the start but players would leave quickly. If you correct the content and balance... well then it wouldn't be Xor.

And that is exactly the reason that no server will ever be good enough. You don't like farming servers. Many, many others do. To me a server is not complete without an Exchange Market of some sort. None of them except the official (except SEA) do. Fk the countless indos sitting around in GH kiosks selling farmed crap. To me the economy is half the reason to play Rohan. PvP is only 1/3 the story with farming/content being another 1/3. The final third is commerce and economy. All 3 need to be healthy to attract players for each part. So far I have seen only 2 Rohan pservers that had an EM and the second was not even a complete one. So to me that means only 2 servers that had a chance to be my image of great.

17 tries? What 17 tries? Exaggerate much? I only know of a few servers he worked on -- he didn't own them. Certainly he never released one himself that I know of. But hey, if you are so hot on Xor, well that person right there is one of the original team that worked on the first ever xor. If he is telling you that xor was just a so-so server, I think he would have the best opinion of it from anyone responding in this thread.

"Doing it right" is wide open to interpretation and opinions. Nobody does it right for even the majority of players. Everybody that plays this game wants something different out of it. Terms like "pay to win" also means different things to different people. At the end of the day if you buy 100% SES/ASES stones and scrolls with a little better %, you will be paying to win over someone that has to grind for it. But without the incentive of 'buying' premium goods to help your game, the server will shut down because it is not worth running with no return (or worse at a deficit). If that destroys games, then I will submit to you that no server that runs on a shoestring budget survives any more than a few months out of pocket. I don't care how 'perfect' that server is to you or me. But in every single pserver out there you can play for free and even get decently geared without having to donate. But even those servers will be called P2W by those that don't donate. Finally nobody that runs a pserver is a company with a full staff of paid GMs to run it. People doing these servers are doing so for shits and giggles to keep them moderately occupied wit something fun to do. They are personal projects not corporate hierarchies with 24/7 staff.

Stop acting like you did something in this game or you bring up for the game to something good, you got kicked off xor rohan for sharing gm made items with players. Theres saying at our lands, once wh*re always a wh*re so yeah that's all I have to say.
