That is a github link to a Rohan skill editor. Full source and executable files. You have to understand the structure of a Visual Studio project to find the binaries.
Functions included with this drop:
- Full editing of Skills and skill levels - Skill tree editing is a WIP and will have limitations when it is done (no cross-race skills!).
- Able to import the skill images used in-game from the original Rohan Gel/Gem resources (bitmaps.gem & gel) - warning: memory and time intensive, but is only done once and it cleans up behind itself.
As mentioned the above link is to a github repository. To get a copy, the the "Clone or Download" button and save a copy to your system.
It is a work in progress. If you want to play with your own copy be my guest. You will need Visual Studio 2017 and some knowledge of c# to do so. If you want to change ti for your own needs, go ahead. Just keep in mind that any updates I make to it will not be in sync in yours unless you pull it down again.
It works with skills from any version of Rohan from post beta to Trinity (May work with Origin too - haven't checked that one).
Happy Birthday and have fun.
-------- update ----------
Removed the skill images from the distrubution. Those images are copyrighted and could cause a takedown from github with them left in place. I'm afraid you will need to import your own images
--- Edit : Just checked with Origin client - editor will not work with that one (but may in the future)
-------- update 4/27/18 4:45 EDT
Republished with source for sensitive parts. Those parts will be rewritten at a later time, but until then they have been replaced by a .dll. Put in some fixes and other updates as well.
-------- update 5/2/18 5:00 EDT
Update including totally rewritten graphic library import and still tree editor. See more detailed posts in the thread regarding this update.
-------- update 5/9/18 5:00 EDT
Update to fix non-saving of changes and added some intelligence to saving function.
-------- update 5/11/18 3:30EDT
Added tracking of orphan skills that are displaced when changes are made to a skill tree. As skills are replaced, the original skill is now placed in a list for later retrieval. This list of 'orphan' skills is saved between editing sessions.
