My discovery so far

this my first post, so pls excuse any mistakes in here. ^_^
First of all, I'd like to thank you especially the mods here for providing a great forum thread that is very resourceful. I've learnt alot about wpe, rPE and several exploits from this forum, so I hope to be able to share some of my findings.

I've been testing several exploits in my pserver and so far the ones that worked was the 1) using diff char skill in another char; and 2) pet dupe.

The first one was more of cosmetics, where I simply shift my arrow to point to another char quickly just after pressing ENTER at the char login select. Pretty much stops there since I don't actually inheret the other job skill, instead its merely a clash of char sprite with the actual job id. Even so, the result leads to something more interesting, namely the char name conflict. Obviously, I can speak in the public chat or any channel EXCEPT for PM. Chatting normally would lead to my char being DCed. I can only assume since my client is telling the server that my conflicted char is saying something, but the server got confused because I was supposed to be another character. Oh well, KIV that for now.

Second exploit was the one regarding to pet dupe. What I did was to create more than 1 pet by using wpe and sending several packets and at the same time using the pet incubator. It worked! and obviously, I saw a general announcement by GM to tell me to stop. heh, suddenly I'm anonymously famous.Now, one thing that I discovered is that at some point of the exploit, my egg seemed to STACK, meaning 2 eggs of the same type. Normally it would show 1 egg for each item regardless of the same or diff type. After relogin back, the 2 stacked egg will become separate entity on its own. Furthermore, there was also certain situations where the eggs will be written in red (similar to a broken eq) and would not be shown in the inventory list until the next relogin.

So far, I have yet to properly count all the eggs I've actually used. So i'm not sure if the stacked eggs are a case of duped eggs or simply a case of eggs gone missing. In either case, it would means that it is possible to confuse or perhaps disrupt the server-client packet that would might lead to something far better.

Oh yes, just as a side note, the extra pets do not follow you around. It will stay where it was spawned until the next server maintenance. I found it to be a useful advertisement to be put in the cities. One main reason I did this was to tell the players how this server's GM is such a greedy asshole who changed the server upside down for the past 2 years. I mean everything is only obtainable thru donation and players are being sucked out of the money so they can play well with the rest. No need to indulge more on this matter, its my personal vendetta against the admin, and he should realise that players are getting more and more agitated by his greed and lies.

Back to my discovery. This week I will properly try to count the eggs and see if any extra eggs were made throughout the exploits and see if there is any more leads I can find.

Its been an entertaining week for me testing lots of exploits in my server, thx to the contributions of this forum. Hope I can share more with you guys.

P/s: I've tested another exploit that worked, which is making a nameless/no-name char. Well, in truth I can't make it anymore since there is already a friend of mine who did it first. I can only hypothesis that since the database already exist 1 char without a name, so there can't be a duplicate char with the same value. Nevertheless, I manage to create a char with only ONE char, be it any char from A~Z, as long as a char with that name hasn't exist in the database yet. Funny thing, the first time I created a char named 'l', it immediately got noticed by GM and sent to jail. Easy pie, I merely delete that char and created another one with the same name. lol!

I've received several pm regarding on how to make nameless char. If I have time, i will try to put up some screenshots for you guys.

In the meantime, I found some kind of bug regarding the weight limit. Basically what I do is my lvl 99 whitesmith is at STR 99 with max weight limit of 7970. What I do is fill my inventory with weight around 3900/7970 so that its barely below the 50% weight limit. Then, I use the RESET NPC to reset both my skills and stats. So that my weight would be around 3900/3030. Which means my inventory is way over my weight limit.

With this stat, I could easily pick up any loot without having max weight limit. It is a fun bug where I put in my inventory 30,000 yggdrasillberry (max carrying limit for any item) and drop it in the middle of the town. Of course everyone is trying so hard to pick it up and failed. ^_^

Not really an exploit for a normal char, but it does give you some instant popularity in town.

Now here comes a special request. I actually have a GM ID in this server. But my GM ID is limited to really few commands. I could use @disguise, @warp, @jumpto, @whomap, @who, @jailfor, @mute, @hide, @die, @heal, @alive, @recall, @item, @itemreset, @makeegg, @hatch, @petfriendly.

What I can't do with my GM ID is I can't [trade], [open kafra], [drop item], [pvpon] and the other cool commands.

I'd like to ask any knowledgeable GM, or anyone if they know how to make items dropped from you char, without using the common mouse drag over the inventory window.

The only possible item I could drop is pet egg. And that is by creating 100 items in my storage and simply create pet egg item. It will automatically drop on the ground. It doesn't work with any other items though, except for poison bottle, fire bottle and acid bottle. It doesn't work for scrolls, quest item retrieved from NPC or purchased item.

I hope to be able to drop EQ and armors or even cards with this GM ID. Don't ask me why I wanna abuse GM ID, to make it short, my server sells GM ID and its no different from any other players ID in my server.

Its a long shot, and probably no one could really understand what I'm saying, but if you do have any ideas or you would like to share your opinion. Please by all means. TQ. ^_^

Thank you Angel for the brief information. Mind telling me why I could drop eggs, poison bottle, fire bottle and acid bottle instead?

Anyway, I will try making forged weapons today, just to see if its possible to drop. ^_^

Hi, just came back from my server.

Proven: I could drop food with the cooking recipe skill. I could drop forged weapon with whitesmith skill. So there is no such thing as impossible after all.

Unless of course you mean cards and equipments, yes...its impossible, for now. ^_^

make 500 ocas then open them all 1 by 1, when you reached inventory item limit, you will drop the next cards you recieve.

... not even with GM command drop all. I am a gm priviliges 99 and Stuff with no drop or trade can be traded... or dropped. SERVER SIDE.

Hmmm.. interesting.. so if I have a loyal pet poring which loot some item and then returned it to its egg and dupe it. Is it possible that even the items that it looted can be dupe too?
