Question [Guide] Crafting type C/D armor guide

Crafting Type C/D Armors
Credits to Vyrien i just copy paste it here for debriefing

When all warriors have reached their peak, the slightest difference could be the cause of victory or defeat.

The three races have not only allowed the use of previously forbidden weapons, from relics to nuclear missiles, but have also discovered new ways to protect themselves. No longer content with simply crafting masterwork, “Intense” armor and upgrading them with talics refined from halostone ore, they have begun to employ crafting techniques that could only be used previously with weapons or shields.

Armor Abilities

Listed below are the effects of each ability per armor. For example, if you have 2 armor items with the Fine ability, your total bonus accuracy is 10.

Advanced Strength: Increases hit points and force points by 6%
Fine: Increases accuracy by 5
Guardian: Decreases the duration of debuffs by 10%
Endurance: Increases elemental resistance by 4
Sharp: Increases critical hit chance by 8%
Solid: Increases defense by 10%
Strong: Increases attack damage by 5%
Vampire: 4% of damage dealt is regained as hit points
Protection: Increases shield block rate by 5% [ SHIELD ONLY* ] [ Evidence 1 ] [ Evidence 2 ]

* Attempting to insert the Protection ability in any other armor piece may cause automatic failure. This is still being investigated.

Armor Abilities That Currently CANNOT Be Used To Upgrade

From testing, it is clear that attempting to use the following armor abilities will either cause an error (”incorrect materials”), or automatic crafting failure. In the latter’s case, this would cause some of your item ingredients to disappear. Attempt at your own risk.

Anti-Sharp: Increases resistance to critical hits
Grand: Increases attack range
Saving: Decreases FP cost of skills and spells
Strength: Increases hit points

Type C Armor Combination Requirements

10 Red Stone
Where to find: Process mined Ores to get Red Stones.

99 Purple Excelsiar Pieces
Where to find: Excelsiar Pieces are randomly dropped by any monster. There are various colors that can be found that can be used for other purposes.
Note: Remember that Excelsiar Pieces are different from a whole Excelsiar.
1 Type C Purple Excelsiar
Where to find: Combine 30 Purple Excelsiar Pieces, 20 Silver Catalysts, and 10 Gold Catalysts at the Hero NPC in your racial headquarters. You can purchase the Silver Catalysts and Gold Catalysts from the Tool NPC in your racial headquarters.

10 Armor Ability items
Where to find: You can get these from an Inventor’s Box, at random. Inventor’s Boxes are dropped by Turncoats in Sette, as well as Assassin Builders.

1 Intense Armor with +1 to +5 favor upgrades (no more, no less)
Notes: The number of favor upgrades denote the chance of success in creating a Type C/D armor. Using a +5 intense armor does not mean 100% success, however. It is estimated to be at 95% only.

The Type C Armor Combination Process

Step 1: Speak to the Hero NPC in your race’s heaquarters and select Item Combination.

Step 2 and 3

Step 2: Open your inventory by pressing ‘I’, then drag the ingredients from your inventory to the open slots, as shown. They do not have to be arranged in this order.

Step 3: Click on the “spiral” icon in the middle of the combination window.

Step 4

Step 4: Click on the “OK” button in the dialog box that appears.

Step 5

Step 5: View the results.

Finished product

Crafting Guide Introduction Information here has been gathered from around the internet and is my interpretation of how things work; like everything in WAR at the moment however, it is subject to change. Warhammer Online is trying to achieve something different from other MMORPGs with their crafting system. Their aim is to a make a fun, and ultimately rewarding system that does not “feel like a grind” and where everything you create has a relatively immediate use. (So no...
