By the way, I haven't fully grasped this, and I won't pretend like I do. My hopes are that by posting it here, more experienced people can refine this method and expand on it. As far as I know, there is no way games can "fix" this issue.
Requirements: VMWare Workstation 6.5.2, Rappelz, 8 GB VM w/ 512 MB RAM
1) Set up a VM:
Simply set up an XP professional VM, if you haven't already. Install Direct X 9, and then afterwords install Rappelz. Once Rappelz has finished installing, shut down your virtual machine, and apply
changes to your VM's .vmx file.2) Unify your computer with your VM
You don't have to worry about networking, because VMWare uses bridged networking. Boot up your VM, and start Rappelz. Once Rappelz is finished, go to the menu bar of VMWare Workstation and select View > Unify (as far as i know, this can only be done in 6.5.2). If you did this correctly, you should see your host desktop with Rappelz running in a window. Feel free to start up the color-selecting bot of your choice/CE on your host.
Remember, the reason this works is because VMWare is independent from your host computer. Do not attempt to start up bots/CE on your VM.
Secondly, JT's Rappelz bot does not work with this method. Other color-selecting bots, however, do.
If you find any errors with this method, please mention them here.
