GG Bypass - Using VM's

There has been a work-around that has existed for a while, but apparently nobody has taken full advantage of it. I will post a tutorial here.

By the way, I haven't fully grasped this, and I won't pretend like I do. My hopes are that by posting it here, more experienced people can refine this method and expand on it. As far as I know, there is no way games can "fix" this issue.

Requirements: VMWare Workstation 6.5.2, Rappelz, 8 GB VM w/ 512 MB RAM

1) Set up a VM:

Simply set up an XP professional VM, if you haven't already. Install Direct X 9, and then afterwords install Rappelz. Once Rappelz has finished installing, shut down your virtual machine, and apply changes to your VM's .vmx file.

2) Unify your computer with your VM

You don't have to worry about networking, because VMWare uses bridged networking. Boot up your VM, and start Rappelz. Once Rappelz is finished, go to the menu bar of VMWare Workstation and select View > Unify (as far as i know, this can only be done in 6.5.2). If you did this correctly, you should see your host desktop with Rappelz running in a window. Feel free to start up the color-selecting bot of your choice/CE on your host.

Remember, the reason this works is because VMWare is independent from your host computer. Do not attempt to start up bots/CE on your VM.

Secondly, JT's Rappelz bot does not work with this method. Other color-selecting bots, however, do.

If you find any errors with this method, please mention them here.

Hmm quite simplistic in its innovative execution! I as well cannot believe that this has not been explored much. Unfortunately I do not have the time to setup a VMWare image and config at the moment but I look forward to hearing back from those that do test this.

I've been using it as explained in the 2 clients thread
It definitly works but is kinda slow
fast enough though (on my comp) to have a heal slave to heal and buff you

From your post, you mention unifying, can you be more specifis as to what this does ?
my experience tells me that it *just* removes the bars from the VM to have it displayed as a normal window, why would it help having stuff running on it ?

And i had alot of troubles getting the network working but i think i have explained why and how to fix it (in the 2 client thread)

This sounds like an easy way that should work perfect

Only problem that I see is that the speed of the VM isn't compareable to your normal PC.
My PC for example can just display 1-2 fps inside of the VM.

But maybe it works well with a better PC.

I have around 2 fps too sometimes i have ~0.3fps not sure why, a reboot solves it most of the time
2fps is all you need to hit the heal button or the buffs

Using the Unify option in VMWare transfers all of the programs running in a VM over as selectable windows on your host desktop. This allows programs like Cheat Engine (CE) to target Rappelz.

As far as low FPS goes.. I don't see why this wouldn't work the other way around. Run CE/Auto inside VMWare, unify, and target Rappelz on the host desktop. This should work as well. I will edit this post later with my results.

Edit: No, but the original exploit is still solid.

No , from my understanding this can't work.
A programm inside of a VM can't controll a program outside of the VM.

That's basicly the point of VMs : the host remains safe from crash, virus etc

True. The reverse method didn't work. It was worth a try, though.

ok, here is my issue.... call me a noob... xD
im running vmware workstation 6.5.2, i have rappelz running, (crappy but good enough), and im trying to play with CE 5.4. Now, even unified, CE cannot find any values inside of rappelz. im wondering if possibly i selected the wrong process/window, but i cant find anything that will give me values i know should be there. anyone else having this prob?

Make sure you selected the Rappelz client in CE, not VMWare Workstation.

Most values in the game are server-side, and can not be modified. For a while, I wasn't convinced I had attached the the Rappelz process, but rather the shell that contained it (I later dismissed this because I found that the values were being written to by a 'mov' string, which I see a lot in games).

Speed hacks/Teleport hacks may be possible (spoofing your position). I'm not sure, you would have to check with someone more experienced in game hacking community.
