Question to those who can extract all data
From what I could get with dragon unpacker, and with what I could see from the game, it seems to me that the the minimap graphics in-game are far more detailed than what I could fetch with the dragon unpacker.
Are there some more graphics for the minimap buried in the client than what can be extracted with the unpacker?
Those who wish to help are welcome to do so, you can send me PMs if you don't want information/identity disclosed here.
If the answer to my question is "yes", I won't ask any help to get them. (So don't be shy to answer ;P but if you DO want to hint me, that'd be nice, hehe) The same applies if it's "no" :P
Now, if you're wondering: - I'm interested in eventually extracting all the data from the client
- I'm not interested in private server
- I'm not interested in hacking the game by hacking the client
- I'm not interested to know if you think hacking the client is useful or useless
- I'm not interested in sharing to the whole world how to extract data from the client if I ever figure it out
- I'm interested in sharing information usable by rappelz community such as rappelz.wikia or rappelzchardb (mainly graphics: maps/pet cards/icons)
If you can/want to help me, you do, if you can't or don't want to, please don't bother to reply, this world has enough flames so keep it cool :P
Thanks!

Dude might as well hang it up! they will not help you at all they think they sittin on a high *** pedestal with the unpacker that Pyrok came up with. ismoke and xijie or whatever the F8ck his name is think they soooo cool with there special unpacker. Reason they will not release is simple they dont wanna be shown up from other artistic people and think that having the unpacker is gonna make there servers thrive lol but there is more than just skins to run a server and they are far from keeping up a stable server! For real I mean **** man ismoke was practically begging for $20 to keep his server up wtf is that who the hell would even wanna play under staff like that? So dont expect to see anything released til its so outdated that no one will even bother playing rappelz then. Your obviously in the wrong place but good luck getting into NCarbon cause they shut up like a virgin nun. Dont get me wrong I loved the ncarbon team up until they screwed the good people in the process of filtering the bad (leechers) yet they let Xijie or wtver in and lol I would hardly call that cool! Other than that WTF does epvpers let these bastards in?! they screwed this community over and now just slapping lame *** pics up here to try and see how many people will kiss there *****! Frankly this is just like a highschool anymore (childish games) and im done with epvpers and the grapes that post here from ncarbon.

@Epic:
His name is Xijezu.
Furthermore: You are messing everything up. You can't create a stable server with those tools, as the are designed for changing the client and not the server! There server is a pretty bad compiled testversion (not even final) and alot of the work was reverse engineered. So you can guess, that this is not the best setting for a stable server. I won't say anything concerning the situation epvper<->ncarbon and ncarbons releases! But those tools are ONLY able to change values in the client db and those resources like pictures and textures. So you actually can not debug the server with this.
Thats all

If you do so, why are you spreading lies? How can you complain about the bad situation on epvpers and you aren't better in any way? Telling lies, hate/flame about other ppl and so on. Get the facts straight, stick to your statements and then start complaining about others.

@sadkingbilly:
I have tried to get the exact location for my Bot from the mini-map a long time ago, and I can tell you they are really detailed.
If you analyses the mini-map on a pixel base can you see sometimes even the braches of the different trees.
I think the mini map is calculated with the same data as the normal map.
They just use a high viewpoint and looking from above on the ground.

@epic, it's pretty obvious that you don't have a clue what the tools nCarbon and the other devs on our site has can do. We can do a lot more than simple client mods, most of which has already been released. All those servers claiming to be 7.x with the new pets and mobs and so on? Our crappy tools did that and it's more than just client mods. Don't act like we are ******** over the community, we've given more to this community than any other group. Instead maybe you should look at this community and all the people who took what we released here and either claimed it as their own or tried to cash out on it.
We don't want people kissing our ***** and I really don't care if people here like me or not. But you can't steal our work and expect us to keep handing you more of it, it's that simple. If you can't see that then you definitely are not someone we'd ask to join up with us.
edit: @OP, I don't know what files dragon unpacker can rip but there are hundreds of large jpg files in the client that make up the map so, yes, they are there. Shoot me a PM with more info and I'll see what I can do for you.

they will never understand what did you said pyrok until they release a thing and someone claim as his own then they will understand what are you talking about , dude a suggestion just leave this forum alone there will be nothing new here and it will be always like this ("full of flamers and leechers and claimers that we didn't see anything from them only some ****-words and harming things")
and i bet all the real "old and dum guys" agree with me

Actually it's a question of respect, which this community should show to any dev team (especially to NCarbon/Arcadia). I'm not really talking about *not giving credits* or something like that. It is about taking the files shared by NCarbon/Arcadia re-uploading them, and claiming them as their own files, as Pyrok said already. That's immature, undisciplined and totally disrespectful.

LOL, why should he pay the money out of his own pocket, he was hosting the server 'for' the community, if the community wouldn't have been loyal enough, then why should he even host the server for a community who isn't ready to help keeping up a server.

I would have said the same, but I don't think so anymore. When going near Salt Mine, near Horizon, and looking at the mini-map (and the map that shows up when hovering the mini-map) one can see the seams in the map. If the mini-map was rendered in real-time, there wouldn't be any seam: I've tried to locate these seams directly on the ground, but couldn't find anything, nowhere on the map.
Also, when going to South of Trainee Town, when following the wall of rock that goes into the sea, there seems to be a very small line-shaped island on the mini-map. Looking at where that should be in the world, one wouldn't see anything but water.
I believe that rendering the mini-map in real-time would require a 3rd viewport, which would add IMHO too much (not that useful) overhead.
So I think the mini-map is rendered using the map data, but I think there have been a step between when they captured it and when it went into the game: when looking at the map in Dead Spirit's Altar, it really looks like the base ground texture (repeating), but when looking at the mini-map of Hidden Village, the part of the pond (at the South) which is near the bridge has 'water', but there are none in the world.
I could have made a bot to help capture the most precise map data, but they've ruined it by adding a shadow to the surroundings of the mini-map with the last update. **** them! :P
Thanks a lot for your input

Mini Maps are composed of numerous images. For the Laksy Map it is over 150 pieces. Most of them depending on the cities surroundings can be blank blue pieces. (Laksy) but regardless the Mini-map does not pull data from the real map unless it is comparing coordinates. Hope this helps you in your pursuits.

Hmm, sometimes when my computer is slowed down, the mini-map loads by tiles (about 91px wide on the default zoom level). Are you referring to these tiles, or are there smaller tiles, or is it loaded building by building, with layers?
Anyways, thanks for your input.

So, what you're saying is that you want people to share it with you but you won't share with them?
Yea that would make me share with you alright..
Do yourself a favor and get a life kiddo.
