Rappelz Epic 7.4 Server Setup Questions
Hello everyone, Im currently in the process (for now just for myself) of setting up a Rappelz private server. I want to play the Version/Epic 7.4 and of course make a few adjustments. So far my server (Windows Server 2019) is running, and SQL 2014 as well as SQL Server Management Studio are installed.
Now Im looking for the appropriate server files. As mentioned, I want to install version 7.4 in both German and English. Are there any differences compared to the files that are offered here, for example? Naturally, it should also be secure.
The following things are what I want to change or adjust:
Version 7.4
Language: German/English
Drop and EXP rates like in the original version, possibly even reduced drop rates
Rates for enchanting, upgrading, combining items, taming chances, pet combining, etc. all set to 100%
Explanation:
I want to make the game more grind‑heavy, but remove the RNG. Loot should be very rare and valuable, but always worth something because you can always use it at 100% and are not dependent on randomness.
Drop chance for boss monster cards: 100%
Removal or disabling of the HV, no HV pass
Players should spend more time in the actual towns and the Market Street again
Equipment loses durability significantly slower
Removal or freezing of the stamina system. Stamina should no longer decrease and always stay at 100%. This makes stamina potions pointless and they shouldnt be obtainable anyway.
Adjustment of the EXP system: When completing normal open‑world quests that match the characters level range, you should receive percentage‑based EXP.
For example: Im level 30 and complete a level 28 quest in Katan, like kill 20 zombies, then I receive an additional 10% of the EXP required for the next level as a reward.
I want to design it so that players level up by going into the open world and doing quests, giving them meaning again and for good loot, players go into the dungeons.
Finally, I want to add a few CS items to the loot table that can drop rarely.
Since these are adjustments to existing content, I dont need the ability to add new content extensively. I primarily want to work with what already exists.
Is all of this theoretically achievable in SQL?
As mentioned, I would read into it and experiment. Or do I need additional external tools? For example, a development kit or something similar?
Thank you very very much for reading and some answers!
