I wanted just to show you some info abut the resource and client
i think you will find so simple to mod a client from the resource
ok let as start
what is the client ?
the client is just a pack containing images , sound files , videos ,etc ...
every place you see inside rappelz is just a thousands of images are combined together to make one big image to see it
how can I unpack the client ?
like you hear before the only one how have a unpacker for the resource are NCarbon team and there is other people that have one of there own but the don't wont to share it with the rest of the people
but there is one unpacker that is free and it's dragon unpacker with it you
can unpack the client to get the images in it
how to use dragon unpacker ?
it's easy but need some patience from you
after you download it form
just install it and start unpacking the data you will find more than four thousand of DDS images for buildings , pet's skin , weapons , customs and icons and etc .....
what can i do with them ?
you can replace with them the images (skins) that already in the resource
with it you can change the skin of the pet or color
how can i find the one i want to replace ?
it's easy if you fallow me just go to your client and copy the resource and past it any were then open it
the folder should be on the details view if not make it on the details view
then press a right click with your mouse and go to store by and click size
you should see that the resource files are restored from the largest file to the smallest just go down until you find files with the size ( 257 ) and (129) KB they are the pet's skins files just give them the DDS format

and then change the format to ".dds"
you should already downloaded a DDS converter or viewer it's up to you
then download the photoshop DDS pluin so you can edit the DDS images from the client with it
how to change pet skin?
after you find the resource file copy it's name and past it in a notepad or any were you want
then download photoshop DDS pluin and open with it the file that you took from the client files
and go to file>save as ..> and chose to save it as a DDS file but when you name it don't name it like
"file.dds" name it with a fake format like "file.Hawas" and then save it
then you will change the name of the file you have save to the name of file you chose from the resource and then copy the new file and past it in your client resource file
this way will change the Color of the pet not the full skin
i will leave that to you to know it by your self and i think i show you the right way
how to change the name of the pet ?
first download HDD Hex editor and go to your client resource file and find a file with the name !PWS)3rDAd3O'`dU+O}deN and open it with HDD i don't wont
to say alot so i will be shot as i can
just press Ctrl + F and write the name of your pet and press Enter it will automatic send you to the pet name and from there you can change it manual
Don't use replace function or the game wont open and if the name you put is smaller than the one is already there just re place the words with "." (with out quote )
