Has been a while, but one of them should work with 8.1
I have tried it and it keeps giving a GameGuard error. I have even tried it with different languages.

I don't know how to upload images here, so I am attaching a link instead.



I want to enjoy the game by changing the client language.
However, it is not working as I expected.

I am using version 9.5.2, and the client is KTS 9.5.

The Sframe I am using is US 9.5.

I have tried many different methods.

Lastly, the only thing left to fix was the font, but the in-game text started to appear garbled.

The font settings in my localinfo.ini are shown below.


I have already hashed the files and placed them in the resource folder.
(I have also hashed the .ttf font file.)

Could you please tell me how to fix this problem?

I've managed to get a server from the forum up and running—one that requires compiling—and I'll be posting it soon to help 'noobs' like me who are nostalgic for the old 7.2 versions but are driven crazy by the setup.I have a question for the experts: in this version, the client and the database aren't identical. This is causing major issues when downloading RDBs (like items) from the DB and trying to get them to work correctly in the client. At first glance, the first problem I noticed is the weight column; I think it’s being placed in a different column, making everything take up 100% weight.My question is: how do you handle this? Do you modify the Data RDB on one side and the DB on the other separately? I’d like to use the tools built by the experts, but none of the structures match this DB correctly—not Grimoire, nor RappelzRDBTool-3.1.0-bin. The only other option is changing values one by one for 23,000 items..

Change the string resource table in the data base. there should be one already for your langauge provided unless it is an unsupported lanquage if so then you will have to make one.

Then you need to put that same string resource in your client as the db_string.rdb either in your resource folder if still supported or by repacking it into the data files with grimoire. I am pretty sure the 9.5 sframe still supports using the resource folder so you should be able to hash the file name with the rappelz hasher and use the resource folder.

Then launch with the correct country and code page in your .bat file.

Keep in mind China has game guard turned off by default so that is why we copy all of our coutries settings to China in the INI and use country CN in the bat for launch. The INI must also be hashed and resourced after changes.

I extracted dbo.StringResource from the database using the RDB tool as db.String.rdb, and then hashed it for the corresponding language and placed it in the resource folder.

If that is the case, wouldn’t the dbo.StringResource in the database and the client-side language become the same, as you mentioned?

Also, I am testing with the country in the .bat file set to CN.
And I have tried several locale values such as windows-1252, 1256, 949, ascii, euckr, etc., but the problem still has not been resolved.

Server files choice?

Hi everyone !

I’d like to create a small server locally for now and experiment with modifying quite a few things. My main goal is to keep myself busy and learn some concepts in this field. I want to do this on Rappelz because I already have good knowledge of the game, and the modifications I make will feel meaningful.

I’ve seen two types of server files: binary files, which are often more recent (like version 9.5.2)but harder to modify, and source server files, but for older versions.

What would you recommend ? My end goal is to have the more recent features.

And you renamed it dbo.stringresource?

Im not sure why it wont work then by default the game is Korean.

Of course. I changed dbo.StringResource_KR to dbo.StringResource.

Pet stage script

tried to make an NPC stage my pet but the script doesn't work, could someone point out where I have gone wrong.

Out of curiosity is it a Korean sframe?

Another thing you can try is put a second copy of the KR string resource in your resource folder but hash the file name db_string(ascii).rdb It wont affect anything having 2 it will ignore the one it cant read anyway.

I am curious if your sframe needs Korean character support though.

I have conducted numerous tests, but the issue has not been resolved.

And the tests were conducted in the same way on both the US Client and the KTS Client.
