[RELEASE] Restart Tool for Gameserver
Hello,
today I release my Serverrestart Tool.
Screenshot:
For What I need that Program???
-It restarts the Gameserver every Time it crashes, even if an 'XException rised!"- Message appears (Normal Restart Tool doesnt do this)
-It deletes the useless Arcadia.dmp Files so you will never have roblems with too small Harddrives. It also deletes the MemUsage.txt
-It writes a Protocoll of all Crashes to the File Crashes.txt so you can see when your Server crashed and how often at one Day.
Where can I get it????
What must I do to use this Tool???
-Just extract the Archive to your Rappelzserver-Folder and edit the settings.ini: enter there the name of your CaptainHerlockServer. (Standart is game001)
-Start the RebootServer.exe and enjoy!

Yes but the Restarter from the NCarbon Team doesn't delete these silly .dmp Files....
So when you travel in Holiday for example, and the Server crashes many Times, your Harddrive will be full with this Arcadia....... . dmp files (each is a 1 GB File) and my Tool deletes this Files

Was working on mine, too, but my one got some more functions
Nice job.
So the opposit to the wisp's restarter:
- Restarts GS when xExpection
- Delete the stupid .dmp's ?

Right
Because when you only have a 100GB Harddrive for exaple it will be messed up soon with this "Arcadia 2011-11-25 18-21-44.dmp" Files.....
Each needs 1 GB Space though^^
And it removes the MemUsage.txt too.

I think I'm going to release mine, too.
Maybe tomorrow.
But if I would you, I just would delete the oldest dumpfile.
Why?
If your server is crashing and you wanna find the issue -> No dump file.

Anyone knows how to control ich GM-Commands are used?
-So hwne a GM uses /run kill_target()
Can i see a log of this or anything like that?

hmmm little Question to you Xijetzu:
When i create a new Procedure in SQL -> Telecaster,
and add the name to AllowedCommandsForPermission can i use it ingame?
--or wirte the Procedure in an .lua-File
like insert_item for exapmle?

I don't know exactly what you mean.
In SQL is a procedure named smtp.insert_item, and you think that's the "Script" for the insert_item-Command ingame?
If yes: Nope. Commands are hardcoded, not as Procedure...
If no: Erklärs mal auf Deutsch...

Ja so cirka war das gemeint
Kann ich also eine neue SQL-Procedure erstellen, und die dann aus den .lua Files heraus verwenden?
Denn fast alle Commands sind ja als Procedure in der Datnbank vorhanden
--
Schade dass das mit den Ingame Commands nicht gehen würde

Nein, geht nicht. Liegt vielleicht auch daran, das Lua keine Datenbankverbindungen unterstützt.

Sah nämlich iwie so aus xD
Denn wenn eine Procedure insert_item existiert mit zufällig genau dem selben Syntax wie der Lua-Befehl...
Aber ich habe immer noch Fragen xD

Also ich habe mir einen eigenen Launcher zusammengebastelt,
der checken soll ob der Server online ist oder nicht -- das geht soweit auch ganz gut^^ -- Aber der Arcada Launcher serviert mir auch noch die Userzahl--
Wie macht er das???

yo, ich hab schon länger 4 bots am laufen, hat auch immer alles relativ gut geklappt, auf 50 runs meist so 3-4 restarts, also ganz in ordnung, und wie ichs so mitbekommen hab waren die meist eh schon gegen ende des games (ja gut, kein baal kill,aber was solls)
seit 2 tagen allerdings funktioniert da überhaupt nix mehr
einer läuft "ziemlich" normal, 8 runs 2 restarts
der nächste 9 runs 7 restarts
dann 19 runs 19 restarts
und 47 runs 47 restarts
dann is natürlich realm down bei allen,...
