Saw a post on this, so I figured I'd make a post on it.
Long story short - this method WILL get your Xbox hardware banned.
For anyone wondering how to do the method still - essentially, buy credits, go to the refund page, and choose a believable option - like never arrived in account, etc. This method works because the money is given back, but the credits stay. For other games, like fortnite, it doesn't work, as the currency is removed when you refund.
However, I'm sure this is likely dependent on your countries buyer protection laws - my country has very good buyer protection laws, so it was easier for me to do this method.
My account and console was banned for this (fraud). I also had a friend who did the same thing as me and also got console banned.
Its worth noting that if you have an old console, such as an xbox one, you can do this fine. I dont think the ubisoft account will ever get banned itself, and also worth noting that you probably wont get banned unless you do a stupid amount of refunds (my refunds totalled) like 15k usd
