Modding Private Ragnarok Clients

Hi, I've been playing a private ro server for a little, and I was wondering if I could edit some stuff. There custom .grf file has a lot of .txt documents; so I tried some stuff like extracting some .txt documents and modifying them, then repacking them into the .grf file, but what I have been doing doesn't seem to work. I was trying to make grapejuices recover all hp/sp by change some stuff with the yggdrasil berry, but it wasn't working.

Can I go anywhere with this or am I just wasting my time?

No you can't.

Only thing you can do is display preidentified items, you'll find a guide for this on the rms forum.

Since this thread is already up....Does anyone know where this byte derives from?? (specific file in the ro folder).

Well, after you use an old red box...the ro app. sends that 8 byte packet to the server. The only byte that changes with the packet, is the one outlined with the red box (an old purple box has the same bytes except the 14). So I wanted to know...where does the ro application get the unique byte packet for the old red box. Is it a file in the data.grf, or somewhere else?

Due to the fact you have only one bit who changes, i think there is a special id for each element in your inventory.

So try out next time, and it won't be 14. (i think).
