Well, there have been some serious attempts to bring gaming to the linux platform (Steam, WINE) but yeah, I'd only use it as a secondary OS.
Consider taking a look at Fedora or CentOS, it's pretty nice. Maybe in a VM?

We all laughed and now we are friendly towards each other
B2T: I'm trying to gain experience in alternative operating systems. We're doing this at school and maybe it could be helpful. The only point of criticism are the totally different commands. Otherwise it would be easier.

So you mean that it's a better OS, but you cannot play games on it?

I know we've never had a high standard in terms of conversations in here, but it seems to reach a new all-time low.

If you fiddle with new systems, it is really interesting. I don't play games on pc, so I don't really care about. Furthermore I said on a virtual machine, cuz it will be too complicated for beginners.

Sometimes I play Cube 2 Sauerbraten on PC w/ my friends. It sounds weird, but it is a really funny litte game.
Ok the truth is I've got a bad pc. But some games are nicer to play on console
