Hey guys, it's nice to get back here... I hope you have good time while I was offline
It was ok, nothing important happened except for a big update in the bot detection system (darkorbit) and in the ui. Also, I have just become a guardian Although, I was kinda surprised because some users that I had asked told me it usually takes 1-3 months to become one but it only took me 2 weeks...
Because you don't have to fulfill any duty as a guardian. It's simply a rank showing others that you're quite actively reporting and thus supporting the team. Once you've got it, you'll only lose it if you break any of the rules.

It depends in your activity if you will be accepted. I think you didn't sleep for 2 weeks just to do it. :P
Btw, congrats for your guardian badge.

I think it's not, but the numbers of guardians have increased in the past months.

I agree, most of guardians here are already inactive and yet they did not lose their guardian badge.

Because there is no rule that inactive guardians will be kicked.

Some guardian has already been banned an yet they retained their badge.

To be Guardian you have to be active. So if you want the badge you must be active after a while, not only while you are being accepted and blah blah blah.

It is only a user rank and therefore it is accumulated after meeting the requirements and after being accepted unlike staff/moderator rank that you can be demoted because of inactivity.
Many users want to be guardian only because of that badge. The guardian badge is just a reward for being active, reporting and helping the moderator/s. That's why they will be active and after they get accepted, they won't be active anymore. I've already seen many inactive guardians and still they have their badge.
If you think that, as a Guardian, you help in any way, then you are an idiot. What I hated most about being moderator were reports. Why in hell would I need so much of them? I am able to check my section on my own. Let's put it like this:
Reporting malware/extensive spam/any severe rule breaches = good
Reporting minor spam/rage reports/slight insults = **** you

Well, I'd assume they wouldn't give the badge to people who are simply reporting anything.
And besides: There are actually people reporting just because they're in rage?
