Probably I left because I wasn't so active. I was going to take a break.
Anyways, thank you for writing why not, instead of saying ''they shouldn't accept you. ''

So it seems to be only me here who isn't giving the slightest **** about Guardians. If you have that badge, there is an at least 90% chance that you are a ****.

Well, literally everyone who wants to become guardian will be guardian. It's no real challenge. You don't have to be polite, you can be posthunter, troll, whatever, as long as you report every once in a while. Of course that doesn't mean everyone who has got this title shouldn't have it, some users own this title with justification.

The concept of the "Guardian" rank was not thought to the end. While that rank might work in a mature community, it will never work here. Thanks to that badge, the report function has totally lost its function. Depending on our section, there are not enough rule breaches to report to get that badge. Yet if you are fourteen and spend hours in front of your pc, you want that thing so badly you just straight forward report everything that might be very slightly in conflict with the rules, often enough in topics that you have no interest to participate in. This had resulted in almost everyone spamming threads with "#reported", even making graphics for that. Luckily, this behaviour was brought to an end by the moderating staff, you enforced the rule stating that such posts are spam.
Still, Guardian is not a title you earn for being a decent community member, it's a goal you want to achieve by any means.

Well, that sums it up. I'm still wondering how some of the users applying for the guardian actually manage to get refused. No offense by any means, but as long as you report loads of threads, you'll get that badge. So the only way not to get it is basically either breaking the rules or not reporting any violation.
Was it actually harder to get the badge a few years ago?
