I guess I might as well add for some recommendations as you did ask anyway ;p
Black Bullet and/or the Fate series. I would personally watch Fate/Zero first, then the Fate/Stay parts, at the moment they are doing the second route, as they are basing it from the visual novels I believe.
The first one is pretty good, the current one is amazing. The animation is quite fluent and the action scenes are a'okay! Going to start and finish Btooom! today, heard reasonable things about it.
I could throw a lot more, but, meh
